Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Thank you. Glad to be hear. Hopefully you won't have too many of those melt down days, lol. Your son is SWCC? Mine too.

Morning Y'all! Got a letter on Friday, but no call. :(

My son's bunkmate if from NY and is hilarious....His last name can also be a first name...Since I can't post it on here, if you think it could be your son, private message me. I know some of the boys names/moms, so I know who I can eliminate. For all I know, the SR's mom is not on here, yet!!! ;) My boys said again that the food is good. The days are long, with 3-4 hours of sleep. That was his biggest complaint. It was a short but sweet letter. Can't wait to hear more stories this week as our letters come in.

Have a fine Navy day y'all!!

Hi Everyone,

Just got a call from my son!!,I was so glad to hear from him.

He sounded good, and glad we were attending graduation.I just wrote him another letter ,when he called.

I also took a picture of our dog, and sent it to him in case he missed him.

He was healing from the wisdom teeth being pulled. It sounds like they do that to alot of the recruits.

Joanie, I got a letter on Friday too and then the call today,so I'm sure you will get a call.

Stay strong and don't worry too much. Its hard not to.

I'm glad they are all working together

Have a great day!

I got my call today too, about 10:15 central time. I am one happy mama!! I saw my phone light up, recognized the (847) and saw Waukegan IL...You bet I picked that call right up. It was so good to hear his voice. He was on watch last week when the first calls were being made. He is adjusting well. Said his RDC is putting him in for most improved recruit. :) He also said their division is kicking @$$ in competitions, they are #1. Woo Hoo. They are getting better at being a team too.

So glad to hear we are getting our long awaited calls. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!

Go Navy!!

Awesome news Joanie. Glad you got his call. Believe me, I wont miss a call from Waukegan ever again, lol. I even watch for area code now in case Waukegan doesn't show on the I.D. Also glad to hear they are doing well in competitions. Yay! I hope all moms are getting their calls.

Hi Joanie,
I laughed when you said you saw Waukegan. I did the same thing , I picked it up so fast ,and I was hoping the call wouldn't fail.
That's great that they are 1st now.that shows how hard they are working. They must get their work ethic from us lol!!
Take care

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering what week and day Division 822 is currently on? I got a little confused on reading the week and day of the other divisions.

maybe 3-2...definitely the beginning of week 3. I should have asked when I chatted with "A" this morning but I had so many competing questions. LOL!

Hi Joanie,

How are you? My brother is in the same division and is also from NY but moved with my mom in Florida a few months before he went to boot camp.  I was wondering if he's bunkmates with your son.  My brother stated that he and his bunkmate read passages from the bible every night.  My brother's last name starts with a D.  Please let me know.  Thank you and God bless.

If your last name is like a brand name soup, private message me...our sons know each other. :)

BTW, SWCC Mom's...my son told me today he is staying in GL for 2 months after BC to prep for SWCC - the class is there not Coronado. Have any of you heard that? I hope it's true b/c there is NO WAY they could go from BC to SWCC with the lack of PT in bootcamp. They have to recondition. Any info you have that you can share would be great. I told my boy to give me details as he gets them. Now, I might want to stay an extra day in GL after PIR. To be determined...

Hi Joanie. I was told me they would stay in GL so we are staying until Monday.
