Tomorrow is the day, excited for him but missing him already.  Had nice dinner with him and then dropped him early at the hotel so he could get a good nights sleep before tomorrow.  Will see him again in the morning for his official swearing in.  Can't wait to see him at PIR. Any others moms out there whose son/daughter is leaving 9/11/12?

My son left today from MEPS in Harrisburg, Pa

Congrats, I am feeling a huge relief, how about you?

Me too, I'm glad the waiting is over and now he can begin this new part of his life.  I Miss him already but he looked so proud, confident and happy today at MEPS that I felt at ease with this.  Keep telling myself that its only nine weeks then we will have contact again.  What did your SR go in for?  My son is NUKE

My son went in for Damage Control.  Hard to come home at night knowing he is not here.  Still having moments of sadness but so excited for him.  Cant wait to see him in November.

My son Jeff left on 9/11 from Boston - bittersweet day!  Got the 5 second call that he was there last night at 9pm.

Hang in there!!

What did your son Jeff go in for? I slept thru the phone call but luckily my son called his father and got to talk for a few minutes.  Last night I really missed him but tonight it's better.  Find I am working longer hours just so I don't have to come home to an empty house.

What did your son go in for? Still having my moments of sadness but getting better each day.  My son also is my youngest child but our two other children live in California with the closest one being a 10 hour drive away so I really feel alone at times. I kept texting my son the night before he left until he finally told me to go to sleep.  I am glad that I have other moms that can relate to me tho, helps to know I am not alone.

My son's recruiter has also been wonderful but I don't have division number yet.  Havent been in to speak with recruiter yet since son left due to my busy work schedule.  Do you know the date of PIR? (provided there are no delays).

she is in div.363 and ship 11, also corpsman

My son is division 366 ship 13.  If your son is division 366, does that mean he is ship 13 also? Got my Box tonight

My son is in Division 365 ship 13. Got his letter today. It makes me so happy to know I can contact him!

my daughter left 9/11 also..got her address today..she'll be training corpsman..no box yet..
