Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Hi Robby's Mom,

Sorry I didn't see one of your responses you had written earlier. I'm glad you got the phone call from your son.I was off for a couple of days.

They sound so mature on the phone , don't they? lol

Hi Ellen!

When I spoke to my SR last week he told us that he would be staying in GL also..  And we were told that there was a possibility before he left ..

We made our reservations to leave GL late Sunday so we can have as much time as possible with him.. He also told me that their Div might get a later curfew then the other Divsions. Not sure about this..

Joanie  I am so gled you finally heard from you son.. Was it as amazing as you thought it would be?

BJ it is so cool that our boys are bunk mates..We are flying from Texas...And we have some family comming with us , they don't care if they get in or not PIR but they want to see our son..

Not sure what we are going to do Friday..We are going to spend Saturday at Navy Pier and Sunday we are just going to find a quite place to just sit and talk..

It is so good that everyone is connecting on here and our boys are connecting also...

See you all in October...

Hi there! It was the best & fastest 15 minutes of my life. I was so happy to hear his voice. Caller ID is the best. I jumped out of my chair at work when I saw the Waukegan info pop-up. ;)

28 days to go. I can't wait. I am just going with the flow on whatever "A" decides he wants to do. But, I do hope he wants to go to the Navy Pier on Sat and maybe have a chill day on Sunday. We'll see....

I got my call on Monday morning. He said he was on watch when the others got to call Thursday. He got a phone care at the NEX. I had sent him some freebie ones and he passed them out, just like I asked him. Such a good boy!!! I don't expect to get another call any time soon. Probably after battlestations....when they say I am a Sailor!!!

Have a fine Navy day Y'all!!

Regarding the boot camp T-shirts--are these for us to order for our loved on in boot camp, or are they for us to order for ourselves to wear (to the PIR ceremony, the meet and greet, ?)?

As far as I am aware Shawn, the shirts have the division flag on them and are for whomever wishes to have them.  As for PIR, we've been told that the dress code there is more business casual than jeans and tees (though you can certainly wear whatever you wish, or are most comfortable in).

If you look at the order form, they show a blank shirt because the division flags are not revealed until PIR, so you order them sight unseen.  Given that, I am not sure that they are available before PIR or if they ship after.  Someone with prior knowledge would have to answer that question for you.

Hello everyone!

Is anyone else in this division have a rescue swimmer besides Momma C and I?

My son is a rescue swimmer also.  He wrote that he will have to stay in GL until he gets a 2nd waiver for a raspberry allergy before he can head to Pensacola.

Hi Mama-D. My son is a rescue swimmer too.

My son is also rescue swimmer.

My brother is also a rescue swimmer going to A school in Pensacola. :)
