For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

help, reposting here trying to get more feedback!
My son is leaving tomorrow for Columbus and then Thursday to Boot Camp....he's been sick since last Thursday, went to Dr was prescribed a Z-pack. As of yesterday he was still running a fever, having chills, etc and FINALLY listened to me and went to urgent care. He has acute bronchitis and they gave him another antibiotic and prednisone for 10 days......now what? Will they allow him to take these meds in boot camp? He also asked them for a letter of clearance to go ahead and leave at the recruiters request (I had talked to him earlier in the day going over the plans for leaving Wens, etc and metioned that he had been sick).
Does anyone know what will happen? Can he take meds with him? Will this delay him? Will this negatively affect him? I am freaking out................

we did that! Decision was that if he was sick enough to need meds for 10 days then he wouldn't be able to go...........so after talking it over...........we decided to send him on! He had already taken a Z-Pack and had a shot of antibiotic so off he went!
If he gets sicker they will treat him, but I think he will be fine.......he would have crawled there if he had to. He was soo ready to go

He sounds like a tough guy, I wish him the best! My son left from Columbus on Wed. He was having some issues with his back and was a little concerned about the PT. It's hard for mommies not to worry, but I'm sure they will be fine.
