Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ship 14 (USS Arizona) Divisions 333 & 334 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 333 & 334. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

In my second letter mine sounded real good and having a positive outlook on things even though some are making it difficult for the division. His teeth were too far up to be pulled yet. Can't wait to see him :)

I hope everyone is writing letter, keeping our SRs upbeat and motivated. This experience is physically and mentally exhausting, so they need to hear encouraging words of love and support. Hope everyone has a great week!!

when I rec'd my grandsons first letter to us, it was the questions I wrote on paper for him to answer, plus a small note on the back. The thing we notice is that he doesn't put the date on the letters and we don't know if they are on target date? Does anyone know for Ship14 DIV 334? I have read it so much I am feared the ink will rub off, lol I read Navy for Moms about ten times a day, I am retired can you tell. Keep up the letter writing, for me it makes me feel closer to my SR

Faithful grandma- My son is ship 14 div. 333 the brother division- I had to remind my son to add the date and time on the letter as well. As far as the PIR date 10/12/12 and I'm sure your SR would know if he is not on target to graduate with his division. Just continue to write and not worry about the letter to you- their time is so limited. I Corinthians 16:13-14 has become my prayer- make it yours for your SR as well!!

Thanks JustinMom, I am just happy to get the one, I can read the family letters sent. I think our SR dad has put that in one of his letters so hopefully we will see that in the next letter. Thank you for the Bible verse I will use that everyday, Bless you

My husband got the call from our son (in Div 334) on Tues 09/11. I missed the call unfortunately. Our son Mitchell reports that he has lost 10 LBS, is hungry all the time, very tired, is doing well, and loves the PT and has passed all his tests so far, and moved up a rank. He has written us 2 letters so far. He has sent his Grandma a letter, a letter to his Aunt's Robin and Teri, and a good friend of his, that I know of. He made friends with another SR from Santa Cruz, CA. We are also from N Cal - outside of Sacramento. We plan on going to PIR and just need to make hotel reservations.

My son doesn't have 10 pounds to lose. I'd hope they are getting all the food they need. I have to remember that our son are making friends by their last name and we are calling their by their first. With 8+ 'ships' each having 2 brother division that a lot of SR's to meet.Hope everyone is going to Sarge's Meet and Greet Thursday night!!
Can't wait to see our Sailors!!!

If it wasn't for the post I would not know anything about whats going on in this Div thankyou all for the information. I'm keeping my fingers cross so that I Get a call or letter soon. I haven't heard from my SR since august 27th. His parents and I are concern.

Good Morning everyone. It is Sunday morning and woke at 3am wondering what week my grandson is at. He is with Ship 14 DIV334. Has anyone heard from their SR this week? I pray all the time for all the SRs to get through this time in good shape and praying that the time goes fast for them. I am so proud of all the SRs. I can't wait to see him. We have our tickets and hotel reservations, coming from AZ I need to buy some warm cloths I guess and see if I have a jacket, lol

I wake up each morning and get on my knees in pray for all our SR's We have our reservations as well. Coming from Riverside, CA and my mother (his grandma) coming from San Diego CA. I hear everything is pretty much indoors so I'm hoping my one jacket will be fine. Seeing my son will warm my heart!!!

Being a grandma I feel special that my grandson wants his grandparents there to see him graduate :) I like that statement, I hope you don't mind, if I use it, revising it a little, Seeing my grandson will warm my heart, probably won't even need a jacket.
