my son has been scheduled to leave for bc on this date too, i still cannot believe it but am trying to stay cool like him.

my daughter will be leaving on 11/20...

My daughter is also leaving on November 20.

My son s excited too and i feel the same as you. I tell him iv been on this site so i can get more info and talk to moms he tells me its okay and not to stress so much lol

My husband is leaving the 1st as well (we hope). He was told to lose 4lbs in one week or they will seperate him. I guess the 3lbs he lost last week wasn't good enough. He has worked so hard to ensure a good future for us, I am so proud of him. He lost over 70 lbs and studied so hard for the ASVAB.

My husband went through the same thing! When he was first getting into DEP he lost over 40lbs in two months. Let your kid know to drink more water than he can imagine and run for an hour everyday. My DH's goal is to lose 10 more pounds before bootcamp and that's his method. Lots of beans instead of bread and plenty of white meat and eggs. Hasn't failed him yet. Oh yeah, add some curry in there too lol. He's also leaving Nov. 1st!

yep, my husband is eating lean protein (mostly chicken breast), and greens with the occasional low sugar protein shake. And he is drinking all the water he can get down...I'm shocked he doesn't float away...lol
He has to lose 5 lbs (even though his BMI is with in range) but would like to drop 10-15 lbs more.He swears in/ fly to boot camp on the first but they pick him up on the 31st for the hotel.

what is your husband's rank?

My husband made weight, looks like he will be heading to BC on NOV 1 still.

As the months turned into just weeks the reality is hitting me. We are trying to get all the POA and such done this week. We also are putting our things into storage, make ever thing seem so real.

Ho are you doing NuclearLove?

I'm surviving! My husband is getting more and more nervous which means I have to be less to get him through it all. We have a lot of going away parties planned for him and his family and friends though. And what kind of POA did you two end up getting?! I'm freaking out because I know nothing about them and I started researching POAs and what not, there's 11 different ones just in the state of Michigan!!

I haven't started packing yet, I'm thinking I'm going to do that once he actually leaves. Luckily we haven't had a house yet so we don't have much. But packing all of his clothes and stuff is going to be hard enough for me, I don't want to put him through that - I think I could handle it better than him anyway.

Today, Nov 1, is my son's swearing in and the start of BC for him :)

Hang Tough Momof12 (do you have twelve kids?..you must be tough) be proud and we are all thinking of you and your son.
