Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 337 & 338. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

This is so great that we have so many "little ones"!  My son, Austin has a 5yr old brother - will be 6 in November.  And it is a great age - his brother would love a letter from him but is more excited to be there at PIR!!!

any news on ship3 div 338

Hi, I'm Lisa.  My son is in 03/338.  Phone calls are next to none; just the first night and one really short one two weeks ago.  We are from Riverside, CA.  We got one letter last week, none this week, although his girlfriend says she received a letter this week and a call...that she missed....Forrest says he only has about 30 minutes to write letters so, yeah, mom is getting the short end of the stick, but that's okay, he isn't a big writer anyway.  Letter short and sweet, sounds busy. L

Hi Lisa- this is Jo Ann we met in San Diego my son Aaron is in same division as Forrest. How are you doing? Luckily, I have had 2 phone calls and about 5 letters. With every letter Aaron sounds better and better. Will you be at graduation on the 12th?

Hello my name is Audrey and I read your post can you tell me what is BTW?  What cost $10.00 ? I went to the link but I didn't see what I should order. My son is on ship- 03 div-337 and PIR is Oct 12, and I would like to give him something special to show him how proud we are of him.

Thanks ares27

Hi Audrey! Welcome!! My son is also in Ship -03 Div -337, his name is Kevin T. I think the post refers to challenge coins. Four of the Ships have specific coins for their Ship, but there's not one for the Hopper. I bought Kevin an RTC coin and one with the Navy Creed. Hope this helps! debbie

Debbie- What site did you get Kevin's RTC coin from??

Hey there! I went to eBay and put Recruit Training Command challenge coins in the search and it came up. When I get home I'll put a picture on my page! I'm being naughty here at work, checking the site!   : ) deb

Yeah definitely put up a pic so I know what to look for!! I'm also being naughty at work ;)  Hehe

Hello Audrey, I am Nancy and my son Josh is 338....PIR 10 12 also......  The BTW means by the way.....

the link is for  a really cool challenge coin, which the sailors earn during their enlistment , however there is no coin for bootcamp given    so this is a RTC recruit training command coin to start them off and congratulate them on Boot camp.  go to the site and type in RTC Navy and it should come up.  Its really nice, two sided and very cool.  I am from Fullerton, so we are neighbors!! All that you son said is true from what my son said.  Ihave only rec'd one letter from him, but it was a good one.  I am hoping he spent his half hour yesterday writing to me.  I am lucky because he has no girlfriend to split his time with. LOL  Nancy

Hi Nancy I am Jo Ann my son Aaron is same as Josh. We live in Corona- not far from Fullerton. How are you doing with all this? Will you be at graduation on the 12th? I can't wait!

Welcome to our navy family! My son is also in same ship/div! You'll have to pm me so I can see if your son is my son's mystery friend...I checked with the rest and no takers! Hope you are holding up ok!!
