Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 333 & 334. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I believe their div is going into week 4

I am so glad to have this site to go to and read...it just makes me feel like I am not alone...I talked to my son last week...he sounds so tired but doing well...he also says he has many new friends but did not give me names... I also heard there are a few that are loud and cause issues....I am still sleepning and living with my phone on me just in case of another call....thanks for posting everyone!!!!

So glad for your post- Zach's mom. I was a little worried for you, stay strong!!!

Our mother's heart hurts so much when our kids sound tried, sick or even frustrated. I try to remind myself of the young boy who thought he was helping a butterfly out on its cocoon, until to discover it's the struggle that makes the Butterfly's wing so strong and beautiful. The more we allow our SR's to struggle and do for themselves, the stronger they will be and the more confident in themselves they will be.

Justinmom- Well said!

Amen

Paul's words to the men of Corinth have become my daily prayer:

I Corinthians 16:13-14

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. 14- Do everything in love.

Love, love, love this! I am going to use these verses to send to my son. He walked away from church a few months before he left for basic. But, I noticed in his last letter that he told me that he has been talking to God a lot lately after I said in my letter that I still pray every day for him and everyone else that is there. Thank you :)

I have to share: I got 2 letters today from my son. I can't believe in all his letters he writes how homesick he is. He is such a tough guy, my husband and I never thought he would actually admit or write about it. Also his week 4 starts this Wed. I now know why his phone call was so short. He said he was on a phone card that only had a couple of min left on it. He said some guys never got to call. One good thing is someone put his name down that he didn't get to make a call. So, all of you that didn't get one maybe you will. He also wrote that they were suppose to have an hour phone call but it was bumped to 15 because the div was acting up. I also wanted to share that I have been sending him questionnaires with every letter and he said he made friends with a Matt from NY. Also it asked about girls and he said there's one that he has to fight off all the other guys for :) That's my boy! Such a gentleman! In his second letter,(he got while writing the first one) he asked Me if I knew how much liberty he gets when he graduates! He says he knows nothing. Like I am info mom:)
So, thanks for reading. I am posting this on other sites too:)

Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Ann

Love hearing the details..... thanks for sharing!!!!

No letter today, but I'm sending out my 'questionnaire'  and remind hopeful.

Please share any letters- Love to share the joy !!

My SR answered my questionnaire I shortened it because I knew some of the answers already.  His job is RCPO (Religious Command Petty Officer) He is on the bottom bunk, and he is friends with his bunk mate.  Yelling is always all day.  The swim test was not bad but they were picky about the strokes.  Some people make him laugh and that helps keep him going.  He is getting second hair cut 9-12-12.  He drew a picture of the Division Flag for us.  I read his letters over and over, it's so good to hear from him.  Miss him like crazy.  Would love to get another call.
