Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

OMG I GOT THE BOX!!! Son left 9/13
Came home to my son in a box today - i was actually excited to see his things, feel his things, smell his things....ahhhhhhh the sights of my boy - just warmed my heart - its only been 5 days since he left and these next 8 weeks are going to be hard - trying to remind myself that they are going to be alot harder on him.....

I can fee you. I got my box today as well. I just cant wait to hear from her. I miss her soooo much and I am trying to remember the same thing, but KNOW she is going to be a stronger woman when she is done.

Hi Michelsp!! I got my box today and I felt the same way. I thought I would be sad but I was happy. The journal that he tried to write in cracked me up the most. I had bought this tiny little notebook for him, which I wrote a note in to him and encouraged him to write us back. Well he wrote it in alright, stuff about the airport and then when he got on the plane (hasn't flown since he was like 7) and when they took off. The next line said he was taking a nap! That was it. Even though he sat at the airport for at least 7 hours.................couldn't think of anything to say. Thats just him! I know that we will be doing all of the writing and unless we send him questions, won't get much information out of him either.
This week has been rough. I don't want to be at work, don't want to be at home, don't want to clean his room.........just restless and mopey :-(
I know it will get easier but I hate not being able to text him whenever I want!

I got my box of my husband's things yesterday, too...he left on 9/12. He managed to write "I love you" on the back of a little scrap of paper in his pants pocket, but other than that, nothing. How much longer until the address is sent, I am starting to drown in letters! :)
