Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I got the box today as well. Really hope the letter comes soon. I miss him so much. Can't wait to start sending and recieving letters.

@ Brandon's mom-I am Kaidens mom...I think my son left with yours on the 13th from Columbus! I did not get a call that night because of problems with the pay phone ...needless to say I was an emotional wreck all weekend until he finally got to call me on Monday morning. He sounded so good and I was so relieved to hear his voice.

My son left Columbus on 12and th. I received my letter today. He is in ship 3 DIV 369. His pir is 11/9.

HI Chris's mom. I'm Joey's mom, I think I sent you pics. I haven't gotten a letter yet, but my son is in 367. I'm guessing his PIR will also be 11/9?

Yes, his PIR date is 11/09/2012 since divisions above and below his have been confirmed to have PIR on that date.
Join the group, PIR 11/09/2012, to connect with others with loved ones training with your SR. Know that Divisions 367 and and 368 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so look for others with loved ones in either division.

How do you know his Division already? Did he know it and tell you? We've left a message for his recruiter to call us back so we can see if we can find out. Maybe if we hadn't missed his call Sunday he would have told us. I just don't know when they find out.

Some recruiters give the info if the parent is listed in the recruit's file. Others have the recruits indicate who they can share info with. Don't worry, just keep writing letters and numbering them and then you can mail them when you get the form letter. Know that letters mailed before you get the form letter do not get to your recruit much quicker, if at all, than letters mailed after receiving the form letter because the recruits cannot receive mail until they are in their ship and a Recruit Mail Petty Officer has been trained in how to handle mail, which means it is usually sometime in the third week or later when they start receiving mail depending on when P-days ended and the division formed.

Good for you! I got the letter and address yesterday. Yay! I sent out two letters today.
