Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Thanks for the update Melissa. How frustrating though. I hope they are able to write soon.

every division has someone who does something to make everyone pay the price....how about one division, some male SR did not shave...ummmm....they have to every day!!!  I tell me son in EVERY letter TEAMWORK!!!! There is no I in team. no call here so I wonder if he just didn't want to call mama or called someone else...if his friends wrote their # in a letter I bet that's what he did....I'm ok with it though, sorta. LOL!

Great news! No call for me...but how great to hear they are the hall of fame division!!!! way to go div 822!!!!!

Hi Joanie! I finally got the call from my son and he does know your son. He was going over to talk to him after we got off the phone. It was good to finally hear from him. He was tired but good. I can hardly wait for the next weeks to pass. Now I'm ready to go shopping for something to wear to PIR, lol. Did you have any lulck?

Good Morning Mary!! That is too cool that they do know each other. I never got a call this weekend. I will go with no news is good news....Didn't get out for outfit shopping this weekend. My boyfriend and I were in the country yesterday for horseback riding. It was a good distraction.

So I finally caught up with my oldest son - who also received a call from my SR.  Apparently they discussed that it is actually possible to fall asleep while marching, because my SR did it.  He said he had a dream that the guy in front of him fell and he had to hurdle him, and he actually tried to hurdle him while marching and got yelled at.  Amazing what your body is capable of when you are running on 4 hours of sleep.  =)

Also, they had Recruit Heaven today, not Navy Rest.  Apparently this is an opportunity for them to have Pizza Hut and Taco Bell and assorted other treats and general down time.

The oldest said he sounded good, just tired.

Hi Melissa. Once I read your post I hung out at the house "just in case" and Yay!!! I finally got my first call. My son had passed all of his test too but there was some kind of mix up in the scoring at first so he missed out on Taco Bell and Pizza Hut but once it was straightened out he was allowed the phone call. He is ok with missing the junk food for now but he wants to go for a deep dish pizza when we get there for PIR. That is so wierd about the awake dream but I can see how weeks of no sleep could do that.

I think all the SR's are just happy to be down to the last weeks. I know we are :-)

got a call today, he got to talk for a long time, passed all of his tests! im super proud of him!

Soo glad you all got calls...

Just a little sad that I didn't hear from my SR..

But at least I know what is going on thru the communication that everyone reports on this site..

Keep sharing it helps on the bad days...

Hi tcope. Welcome!

Hey all, I am so bad at technology lol. I just found this group and I'm so excited ! I have been just so sad trying to connect with some lady's who have SR with my boy . I just got to talk to him for the first time yesterday . He called his fiancé the first call and I just missed it cause I was with her just minutes after his call . But this time I got to hear his voice ! Feels like its been forever . His name is Gage Greenfield I'm not sure his bunk mates name I forgot to ask but he will be going to Florida as well so they have become buds so it would be nice to connect with his family :)

Hi Leslie. Welcome. It took me a while to find this group and for the same reason as you. We have similar stories. I missed my son's first call too and I just got to talk to him for the first time on Saturday. What a relief. Hang in there though. PIR is close. My SR is scheduled to stay in Great Lakes after BC but I wish he were going to Florida so we could see him more often.
