OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 331 & 332. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

I get letters-just no details. He did say they passes Marlin Spike. If I counted right their hell week ended Friday. If u get ANY details in my letter this week ill share. :)

Hello! Good to hear from someone finally! I received a letter last week and my son said that Monday the 17th was their 4-1 which he said was hell week. I have not received a letter this week letting me know how it went. I did post something on the main page that he said the division is having some problems. He didn't say what they were, other than they were threatened to be held back by 2 weeks if they didn't get their act together. He said that was why they haven't earned any phone calls.
My son got his wisdom teeth pulled out the very day that they allowed the 3 week phone call, so he didn't get to call me. I have only been able to communicate with him in writing. He mentioned that he believes they are holding their mail because he has not received any letters and I have been sending him 1 letter every day. He said that is their punishment for not doing well.
OH! And he said that his stitches fell out, he is in pain and has a swollen face. Yet, still went through hell week. Hopefully they take care of that for him. Man, I am worried!
Have you guys heard anything?

If you SR makes it known he doesn't feel right, they will absolutely get him to a doctor. It is in the Navy's best interest to keep him healthy! But he must speak up. Remember they are very invested in your SR! I hope this makes you feel better. And I hope your next commnication indicates he has been helped.

Any word from your son this week? I usually get a letter on Wed. I've heard from him every week but did not get one yesterday. He has not said anything about problems within his division but I was beginning to wonder if something wasn't up this week because a lot of mom's were getting calls but not from division 332. I am hoping and praying they are doing better and they don't delay graduation!

My son wrote a letter to his girlfriend yesterday. I haven't gotten one yet, maybe in today's mail. His girlfriend said that 332 has been passing their events and have been getting flagged. I am not sure what that means but I think it's a good thing. He keeps getting sick she said and doesn't get much sleep. He said that this week they had a ton of tests which is why he only sent her a very short letter last week. I guess they were all preparing for this week. I may not have a letter at all for myself. Luckily, I made friends quickly with his girlfriend and she has kept me updated. I love that girl!

Oh! And one more thing! I can't believe I forgot this! He said he THINKS they maybe allowed to get a phone call soon. This was dated the 22nd. I have yet to receive a call though. Lots of praying going on over here.

Thank you so much for sharing or should I say, glad your son's girlfriend shared! I am feeling better now. I'm pretty sure getting flagged is a good thing! Our son was sick early but hasn't said anything about it since. I'm sure they are all just passing stuff around. They are coming from all parts of the counting and probably passing all kinds of things around. Hope my son wrote to his grandparents or other family who has been writing to him since I didn't get a letter. He's been writing every week and hasn't said anything about problems. Glad to hear they are doing well! Two more weeks, YEAH!

Here's something to get excited about.... the Gate Pass for the PIR the week before ours is available for download! As you can see, I am easily pleased. If my calculations are correct today, 9/26/12 is week 5 day 3. And if what I have read is correct, our SR's should be done with Hell Week and doing Fire training. Does that sound correct to everyone?
