For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 04 (USS Arleigh Burke) Division 822
Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

I got 2 letters... He filled out the survey That was fun... I already know who his bunkmate is "D" BJ son... he said he is friends with 7 others I know Joanies son is another one.. THe rest start with "G" "N" "S" "Z" "D" since this is not a private site I can't put the full names on her..Message me if you have the last names that start with this...

Hey I just wanted to say that for the moms that did not hear from their SR's This past weekend when others were getting calls.. My SR said in his letter that during their weapons inspection some of them got "hit" and had to do 2 hrs of IT (about 40 SR's) while the others were at Recruit Heaven...
HMMM :-(

He said when they did their weapons inspection "they were asked questions and got a hit" not sure what that meant I assume they got it wrong.He said there was about 40 of them that did not get to go to Recruit Heaven Saturday.. But I thought your son got to go to Recruit Heaven?
He also said he got a hit on one of his folds on his rack and got IT'd

Hi RuthY. I found a group called Navy Meps and Dep families and it has a day by day blow of what happens in boot camp up to the sixth week. During Hell Week (I believe) they are inspected by RDC's from a division outside of their own and they are pretty hard on them. The "hits" are penalties. Since the divisions are always in competition with each other they get more "hits" when another division's RDC does the inspection.
I'm just happy that we are down to what? 15 days. Whoo-Hoo!

I just joined today. My little brother is in Ship 4 Div 822 with PIR 10/12/12. I'm sooo proud of him for his courage to join the Navy and I can't wait to see him at graduation. How are you all? Greetings from NYC! -

my SR will be getting some bad news any day now, over the weekend our dog passed away. i know he is going to be super worried about me, because our dog was my "baby". my mom wrote him a letter the day the accident happened. which was friday. i didnt find out until i got home from out of town on sunday to pick him up. :( i hope he will be okay. been praying extra hard. im sure his SR friends will be there for him. been trying to stay positive and telling him to finish the last two weeks STRONG! i cannot wait until graduation to meet everyone and to see my SR and to meet his new friends. he even mentioned one of them being in our wedding one day! staying positive and focusing on all the good things that are going to be happening in the next two weeks :)

Was so excited tonight!!! Received TWO letters on a not normal letter day....dated in August lol Sooooo either my recruit lost them orrrrr he forgot about them and they got sent...I got the survey back & his friends seem to either have some really cool last names or some cool knicknames I remember an "A" "B" "C" . I know his Navy best friend but if anyones recruit has mentioned a recruit who is possibly short in stature or the last name that begins with a possible "S" private message me :)

Hi momma c. TWO letters. What a bonus! I write my son every day but I'm wondering at what point should I stop. It says SOMEWHERE on this site that it takes 5-10 days to get to them. I'm not ready to stop though :-)
