OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Mines ABF aviation boatiwain mates. He was qualify for alot of jobs but the jobs he picked wasnt open so he picked abf out of the other three cause he didnt want to go in without a job. Everyone told him it would not be a good idea to go in with nothing cause they would put you in anything so we prayed about it and he chose abf.

He will be working with fuels for the aircraft. That's a good job. He can get a great paying job at any airport after he decides to leave the Navy. Finding certified fuel handlers isn't as easy as one would think.

That's impressive that he speaks so many languages. Sounds like he'll do fine. Have you gotten any letters?

He's always been a go-getter, so he will be okay. The only contact we've had is the short note he sent to my mother. He said BC was everything he expected and more and that he was fine. Didn't say he was yelled at, but that there was a lot of yelling at first as he expected and that he was just tired because they stay very busy. Said the weather seemed to change every 5 minutes. Other than that, nothing.

Kwaj yea I think it pretty good. He was qualified for the same job Ant and more but they wasn't open he wanted master at arm or HM but no luck. He had put in or that what the recruiter told him that he had put the paperwork in for it but no luck. to be honest I dont think they even did the paperwork. But God is in control if thats not the job for him God will work it out for him. I believe and trust the Lord. cause what the little old devil meant for Tre harm GOD TURN AROUND AND MAKE IT FOR HIS GOOD AND GOD WILL GET THE GLORY OUT OF IT. but we are good!!!

He can always put in to cross rate into a job he would rather have. They allow them to do that if the rate he wants is undermanned. Tell him to always keep that in mind. It's much better that he chose what he did, then to go in undecided. He made the right choice.

He might. He hopes to earn an assignment with a squadron. If not, he will definitely be on a carrier.

We received our son's letter on Wednesday, and it was actually quite long. I have never known my son to have so much to say until this letter! I know that 2 of this other friends received letters as well. He said it was tough at first, but is getting better as the time passes. The overall letter seems pretty upbeat. From what I've read on other older posts, they seem to allow them to call home fours weeks into boot camp. Just an observation I've made. Nothing formal.
