Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

What is recruit heaven?

Recruit Heaven is a place that the Recruits who have done well all week and have no "Hits" get to go watch TV, eat fast food and make calls home.

That is cool!!!

My little man got a "hit"so he didn't get to go this time.  A friend of his did so he called to let me know my son loved and missed me. I hung up and cried like a baby.

Ouch!

CTDnavy mom I am right there with you, my recruit got a "hit" also and didn't get to go to recruit heaven, but told his buddy to tell his mama to tell me he loves me. Sucks that they didn't get to go, as a mama we just want to make it better. But awesome to see the friendships they are developing while on this journey! We got this CTD! Thank goodness for the buddy system an wonderful boys that look out for our boys and us mamas!

You are so true.  I am so thankful for that 1 minute he took out of his time just to tell me my son loved me.  That keeps us going and I know it gives then some comfort too.

my SR got to go to recruit heaven again this weekend, was able to call me yesterday :) soooo proud of him. he was very happy and in good spirits. proud of him for working hard. he said they will be fighting fires this week and then the next week is battle stations :) they had gone through the gas chambers this past week he said he did okay, it made his eyes water alot. he cannot wait for graduation! he has a nickname now - GATOR-  because he's from the south and he would go fishing and kill gators (typical guy) anyways he said he will get to call again on tuesday before he graduates! i hope everyone will recieve good happy positive calls. also says his friend MELISSA'S son is going to give me a BIG hug on graduation and that he has to be in our wedding! so glad they have become so close. :) graduation is soo close ladies! yayyyyy! love you all!

I'm so happy for you! I know that call was worth it"s weight in gold.  They sure are packing a lot into the last 2 weeks. Wow only 12 more days to go!

thank you! :) im so happy!

So when's the wedding hawwbe?  My son is supposed to be in his older brother's wedding at Thanksgiving, but we are not sure yet whether he will be able to come or not.

And ummm - you should be prepared for that BIG hug.  My son is a big guy and sometimes his hugs hurt!  (though in a good way) =)

Still no letters or calls for me, though my middle son received another letter.  Sounds as though my boy is doing well, and the division as a whole is doing well, though he complained about some slackers who are not working as hard as they should be.  Hopefully that is no longer occurring and everyone is playing at the top of their game.  I am beginning to get excited - not too much longer now!

im not sure when the wedding is going to be yet? depends when he will get a break. he described your son as his "bigger younger brother" in one of my letters. i must say a tear came from my eye because i was just so happy he had found someone he could call a brother there. he shows your son all of the pictures i send, and he is going to pensacola next right? thats only 2hours away from where we live, and he said if i ever have any troubles that i could call on him since my SR will be too far away. it was just all so sweet! im too excited for graduation! cant wait to meet everyone!
