Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 371 & 372.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in Ship 12 Div 371, and going to Nuke school in Charleston.  Havent heard from him, other than the box and the form letter.

Mine is Ship 12 DIV 372 and he's going to Nuke school as well.  I'm still waiting for that first real letter too!!  Can't wait!

Hi all - have any of you received any personal letters from "our" SR's yet? What about their pay? Some in other divisions all are seeing paychecks in their sons/daughters/spouse's accounts today. I haven't seen personal letters or pay deposit today so Im wondering if they arrived at GL earlier than our SR's did?

as of Wednesday afternoon 9/26 they have not received nor been able to send any mail. They still have not finished training an SR to handle the mail (Federal law requires them to do that)

My son didn't get paid today either.  I tried calling his recruiter but, I guess they were all out of the office today.  No answer and I called several times.  My SR arrived on 9-12.

My son is in SHIP 12 DIV 372 also. He will be staying in Great Lakes for his A school.

I have received "the box" & the form letter. It was weird when I opened his box and saw everything he was wearing the last day I saw him (during his swearing in, then leaving from MEPs on the bus to the airport). When I opened the form letter and saw, in my son's handwriting, "Mom" I was so excited!  The simplest things seem to thrill me.  :-). I have already sent my son 3 letters. I am anxiously awaiting his responses!!!  Hopefully, they will complete the "mail" training SOON so we can hear from our awesome SRs !!!!

Yes, I can't wait for mail.....going crazy not knowing how he's doing and getting along....hugs to all
My son is in Ship 12 Div 371. He's going to A School in Florida.
I haven't gotten a letter or phone call. Has anyone in this group?

No letter yet. I don't think anyone in our ship has gotten a personal letter. I got the "I need references for my background check" call. His rate is CTM if that makes a difference. He called from the office so he could only talk about that.

I talked to my SR a few hours ago (information call)  He informed me that they still have not received or sent mail. Just thought I would let those with SR on Ship 12 Div 372 know this so they aren't too disappointed when they check your mail today :(

Did he say why no mail yet?
Aww... Did he say why nothing yet? Have they not trained a SR for that? Or are they just super busy since they're part of the last div for their PIR group?
