Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 333 & 334. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Ship 14 DIV 334 Good day everyone, I pray this finds you all excited about seeing our SRs very soon. As far as I know none of our family did not hear from our young man last week. i was hoping for a phone call but so far none. It sounds like the div is doing good together now so I wonder why we haven't heard from him. Oh well maybe next week, keep smiling and reciting 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
My son is that same division and I only got a short note asking me to do something for him related to the theft of his credit card number and use online Labor Day.
Joan- your son is in div 334? Did this theft of his credit card happen there at GL?
Apparently. The number was used online on Labor Day morning and the credit union fraud division called me immediately and locked the account. My son was shocked since he says he locked up his stuff. Then I read on this Ning about thefts. Use the keywords 'thefts" to find a pattern of thefts in the barracks and even aboard the ships. Some "A" schools are worse than others according to the posts. One person suggested putting Lo-Jack on laptops and finding a renter's insurance for sailors. I talked to the credit union manager at length here and was told this sort of thing is very common among those sent to the various training spots.
Wow! I am really concerned about my own son's debit card now. I have a good friend who works in the credit union and I have a call into her as I type. The thing is, we would never be notified of any activity on his card and he has a lot in his account. I hope they found out who did this.
The authorities there know all about this situation. Since people in BC do not have internet access, there was no doubt he did not use his card to buy anything online.
If your home phone is on his debit card account, then any fraud checking calls would come to your house phone. That is what happened to us and as a user on both his CC and ATM, I questioned the person calling me about specifics and then went to the CU the next morning. As a user on a son's CC, you are able to sign a fraud report. If you are not on his accounts, he will have to sign papers to make you one.
Thanks for the info and I am praying that this will not continue. Can't wait for PIR!
I Corinthians 16:13-14
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. 14- Do everything in love.
Praying for all our SRs this week!!!!
Amen, and so am I and our prayer chain at my church
Happy turn the calendar page day! We can now see October 12th !
