Would like to connect with other families that may have had a sailor leave from the New England area yesterday. Please let me know if you had a sailor ship out yesterday. Can't wait to get my letter so I can write to him.

I'm not from the New England area, but my son did ship out yesterday from Louisiana.

Hello Louisiana. I was just in city this past summer. It's a really neat place. I hope your doing okay, were a week in this BC Navy Mom life. Praying for you as well. This is much harder then I thought it would be. Moms from all over the US surely does help.

I am in SC but my son left today from Portland, Maine.

I was told that they would take a few days worth of recruits and put them together.

We shall see.

Kelly

That's nice to know were from Cincinnati, OH. I'm hanging in there. I pray your doing the same.

Sorry for the delay! My son shipped out on last Tuesday as well. Did you receive your box? I rec'd mines on this past Friday. I was in shock didn't think it would come that soon. Your little doggy is adorable. What kind is it?

Tjmax -

I got my box today. Good thing my husband had to take my younger son to ball practice as the tears started again. I got news from my sons recruiter that her cleared medical. Now I am just waiting for the letter or more info from his recruiter. As for my little doggie....that picture was taken in January of this year. He is a saint bernard and is enormous now. Somewhere on this site they said we shouldn't post pictures of our sailors so I had to pick the next closest thing....Hope you are hanging in there and we get our letters soon.

My son arrived at GL on Thursday Sept. 27th. I think that they should have the same PIR! I have not received my kid in the box yet or letter! Can not wait!

My son left on the 25th so hopefully you will get your box soon. I am waiting for an address and his graduation date. With the Thanksgiving holiday in the mix I am hoping for either the week before or the week after. Airfare is sooooo expensive during the holiday period. Stay strong and good luck to you sailor.

My son arrived at GL on the 26th. No box yet. I hate to ask but is no news good news when it comes to them staying? I am referring to anything medical. He made it through all his physical stuff at MEPS. His weight was not an issue but I have seen a few posts from moms talking about their kids being sent home for medical reasons.

My son left from Springfield Mass. Last tuesday recieved the call, the letter and the box! Although I am told that the PIR date is not correct!

I'm new to this site. So I'm tryng to figure all this information out on here. But my son just left and he's on this ship also. Lookng for information as well. Like nearby hotels etc....
