Welcome to the discussion group for division 952.
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Yep, I am thinking they weren't able to write on Sunday either. We have to remember our kids will be very busy keeping up with their 900 duties, on top of the regular boot camp duties. Hopefully this coming week!
Did not recieve a letter this week. Expect a phone call this weekend, does anyone know what day and time they get to make that first call?
That's entirely up to the RDC if and when they get to call.
Hello everyone. My daughter is in this division. Her recruiter told me today that it is a performing a division, could've knocked me over. I don't know how she got into it. It's actually a week ahead of her. But I guess because she was in band since 5th grade and choir every year and also did flag corps for the marching band in high school. I'm pretty excited about it.
Welcome debzz3! We seem to be a pretty quiet and small group in this division. I would think any one of those three things would have gotten your daughter in. =) Where are you from? I am from MN. Seems none of us have heard from our SRs yet, so if you do PLEASE let us all know! =)
I was thinking the same thing about us being a quiet group. Maybe when we start to hear more from our SR's things will start more conversations. Nothing in the mail today either, looking forward to tomorrow already:)
We check this site several times a day. It does seem quite copared to the others. Hopefully some of us get a word tommorrow.
If anyone here is on Facebook, I highly recommend joining the 900 division group there. It is run by a wonderful lady named Kathy. As you may or may not know, our SRs will be performing at not only their own PIR, but the two before it as well. Many parents post pictures from their SRs PIRs when they return (some the same day!) so we may be able to find our babies in those pictures in a couple weeks! It also has GREAT information and wonderfully supportive! I also have set up a private group for our own division as well, if you are interested in joining, let me know via message.
I'm from Southern Illinois. I haven't heard anything since the "I got here" phone call.
Has anyone booked their hotels? I am looking for one that is resonable and has shuttle to PIR. We are driving up from Texas and really don't want to go thru the hassel of bringing a vehical on base.
We booked at the Ramada and they have a shuttle. The price is reasonable and someone else I know said that they stayed there and it was good. We haven't decided yet if we will drive on base or shuttle though.
Although, I doubt I will be making it to PIR; I also reserved a room at the Ramada for my hubby and son due to the shuttle service. I called around to those that offered shuttle and they were all about the same price.
