Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Power of attorney
okay so i know in order to handle finances and do stuff with your husbands money while he is in boot camp or deployed you need a power of attorney but the question is...while he is in boot camp is there a way for him to get one and send it to me? our car is dead and we need another one ASAP but i have been told left and right that i cant get it without his signature or the power of attorney... im so lost as to what we can do. any help would be greatly appreciated

You can go get a car in your name. The only thing you need a power of attorney for is if you are putting his name on anything. So, for instance, if you need a loan and need him to be a co-borrower, you'll need a power of attorney. If you get a loan in just your name, you just go do it. Also, bank accounts that are only in his name, leases, mortgages, etc. The problem usually comes when a spouse is a SAHP (stay at home parent) or something like that and cannot get credit without the working spouse's name on it. I don't think you will be able to contact him at bootcamp and if you can, I doubt he will be able to send you a POA. You might be able to send him the paperwork for the loan with the spots for his signature highlighted (so he doesn't miss any, they are worn out while they are there). It might take a while for it to get to him and him to be able to send it back. Be sure to send a business sized envelope with stamps and self-addressed so all he has to do is sign and throw it in the envelope. A business envelope folds into thirds and fits inside another business envelope.

Yeah that helps but I am a stay at home mom..thats my issue. I think I might get the info and send it to him like you suggested. i dont know any other option i have right now. we have a joint account and direct deposit but our bank said that he would have to sign any loan papers so yeah

your husband will have to go to legal services in RTC... and request a power of attorney.. he will have to fill it out and mail it to you
