Welcome to the discussion group for division 822.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

Yes, he is going to Pensacola - he will be training as an AIRR Swimmer. Funny your SR calls him his 'big little brother' - that is what my daughter calls him also.
Where is your SR going?
thats so funny! my SR will be staying in chicago until december for SWCC prep. then he will go to coronado california in december.
My son is also going to Pensacola for Rescue Swimmer, have you heard from your SR as to whether he is leaving that weekend or staying in GL for a while? I have not heard from my SR
My SR is a Rescue Swimmer also. He said that they will be leaving for Pensacola Saturday. Not sure what time.
I haven't heard from him in more than a month - but the people who are getting calls and letters from him report that he told them his fly-out date was on Sunday.
But really - who knows? I guess we will find out when we get to PIR. We are not leaving Chicago until Sunday anyway (I have a good friend in the area and we are planning a get together, yeah!) so it doesn't really matter for my plans which day he leaves.
Hi y'all!! I am back from FL. My dad is hanging in there, stable, but has a terminal diagnosis due to a weak heart. He is 94 and will be 95 on 10/11.
While I was in FL, I got a call from my boy while he was in recruit heaven. I was in heaven too. :)
He is doing good. In the letter I read last night, which came while I was gone, he told me he made E-2. Woo Hoo!!! He ordered packet A for pics but forgot a dvd so I told him to please order it. He ordered me a division t-shirt and a hoodie for himself. Impressive!!! My kiddo is not usually on top of this kind of stuff. Maybe it was due to my letters making my requests. LOL! If he did it on his own, kudos. ;)
Can believe we are so close to PIR. The first few weeks dragged, now they are flying by. Can't wait to get to GL.
Also, I was FINALLY able to get my pin/password for the gatepass. You heard me ranting about NEVER getting the form letter. I'm a happy camper. :)
Looking forward to seeing yall real soon. Have a fine Navy day!!!
Hi there! I've only just found this site and signed up. So thrilled as it's filling in a lot of blanks and answering so many questions. My son is SWCC, can't believe it's only 9 days to go.... Until one month ago, I lived about 40 mins drive from Great Lakes. So, if you have any questions about the surrounding area I may be able to help out. The worst thing about all this has been how little my SR has been able to communicate, better get used to it, I guess! Looking forward to meeting everyone at PIR.
Hi KayBee! Welcome to our group. There is also a SWCC and Pre-Bud/S page you may be interested in. My boy is SWCC too. I feel like a veteran mom here, but am not. LOL! If you have any questions, please ask. I had to ask something on SWCC the other day. Our SWCC boys will be together for a while. We are here to support and encourage each other. :)
Hi KayBee. How are you? Welcome. I would love some info on the area. I'll friend request you so we can chat.
I will be @ Sarge's meet n greet...I know some of you are also attending from the FB group we are on. Who else is planning on going?
Oops! Thanks for the reminder Joanie - I am going to go RSVP for Sarge's right now.
See you there!
Hi Joanie. We are going to hit the meet and greet for a few minutes at the Ramada where we are staying and then we are heading to Sarge's. We are also bringing an extra with us. Our SR asked us to bring his buddy (girl). She bought her air ticket but she'll be staying with us. Our other son will be with us also. Looking forward to it.
