Welcome to the discussion group for division 952.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi FTLW. Thanks for starting this group. Can you tell me a little about division 952? I read somewhere that the recruits could either volunteer for this division or they were chosen because of musical talent? Also, what does this division do differently than the others? Thanks!

Here is a link that explains what our kids are doing very well.

From what I have heard they don't get to volunteer, they are asked a series of questions and if they provide the answers they are looking for, they are sent to this division.

Oh, and ASVAB scores are also taken into consideration I heard.

Thank you for the information! So proud they received this honor!

my husband said he got chosen for this group to perform in the graduation. although i did read somewhere that they dont actually perform in their own gradutaion they perform in the weeks before graduation as junior recruits. idk how much of that is true but thats all i know!

SRs will be performing at not only their own PIR, but the two before it as well. =)

Our son is also in the ship, we still haven't recieved our first personal letter.

GrangerTX, me either. =( Not sure if they were able to write this past Sunday, or not though. Plus I know my son is not much of a letter writer....so I am wondering if I will get one at all! I did send him a questionnaire though,so  hopefully he will take the time to answer that.

your letter should be arriving any day, just received my fisrt one yeterday!

Still no letter from my SR. Has anyone else in this division received a letter? Thanks.

i got my first one yesterday!

Still no letter here yet either. I haven't been home today to check though.  I am assuming if I didn't get it by this time of the week, then I am looking at waiting until the middle of next week. It is my understanding that they only mail out once a week. Is that correct? Anyway, anxiously awaiting:)
