Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Ship 09 (USS John F. Kennedy) Divisions 001 & 002 (Brother Divisions)
Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 001 & 002.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Sabp26- I got a not so great letter also, however he wrote funny letters to his Uncle and a friend... I think it's because "I'm mom" and he could complain to me :(
Maybe the next letter I can have some funny haha -

My son Tristan is at ship 9 div 002. Haven't heard from my son yet but did receive the box of clothes. He is having his a training in Florida for aviation technician. Love to talk to moms in the same division.

My son is ship 9 Div 001/002. I haven't gotten a letter at all. :( he did say to me before he left "mom, you know I don't like to write letters"
So I say to him, "well son, you know I need to know you're doing ok."
He is a shy kid. I'm anxious to know if he made any buddies. -

Pamom~ my SR said they were all pretty cool guys from all walks of life. He didn't mention anyone specifically.. Maybe they are together? My son said if he was given the choice between sleep and writing, he would choose sleep, haha
I don't blame him, they will have more time later and next Sunday :) Hang in there!!!

Well.... his girlfriend and his grandparents got one, but none for Mom & Dad :( He said in the letter that they were getting a lot of IT because some members of their division are pretty talkative. He said it's hard, but he already feels like he's getting stronger (this was dated on his 1-3 day). Hopefully things have improved by now!

Mine did not say anything about that. He just said that if they screw up they get yelled at a lot. Like you said hopefully things are getting better now.
