Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 005 & 006.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Good morning everyone, well according to what my daughter told me on Friday, today should be a happy day for the SR’s who has PIR 11-16. She told me today is the day they finally get their letters from home. I REALLY hope this is a very happy day for them all, and it doesn’t leave them to home sick, I seriously miss my daughter right now, as I know we all miss our family members who are gone. I hope we get letters from our SR’s and sailors soon :-D Here’s hoping EVERYONE has a GREAT Sunday...

“Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?”

My daughter is div 006, I still have not got a letter from her just the formal letter, i am so excited to see her Nov 16.

Has anyone booked hotels yet?  Can anyone book at the Navy Lodge?  Hoping for letters today!

Good morning all

No regular letters here :(  yet ...Hoping to get one soon.

Hope all are well.

My daughter is in division 005 and we are still anxiously waiting for a letter from her.  As soon as I got her address I mailed her a stack of letters!  We have not gotten a phone call yet either.  It is so hard not being able to speak to her.  I miss Em (her name is Emily) so much!  Writing to her every day helps a little, but I cannot wait to get that 1st letter from her.  (the form letter we got with her address and other info does not count as a letter!)

Div 006...yay!! Can't wait to see my girl again...missing her a lot!!

Hey fellow family members. It looks like I am coming solo to my son's PIR. I am willing to share accommodations if someone needs to save in expenses. Let me know. I have not booked anything yet. Looking at Navy Lodge or Ramanda. Let me know. Thanks.

got letters yesterday i was soo happy he wrote one to his little brother and his brother started crying

My daughter is div 006 ship 11 and I just got a letter from her, so glad she is enjoying it, she said it is tuff but not as bad as she thought it would be, I am looking forward to meeting other parents at the graduation or before at the meet and greet.

Me neither...so far Ive replied as a Maybe to Sarge's Meet & Greet...but I did Maybe cause I'll be driving from New Jersey ...so we are really hoping to make it there on time.
