Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 003 & 004.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Well, everyone I work with know I have been anticipating a call from my son. I worked today and was in the Operating Room so I left my phone on the desk in the recovery room. I come back out after a 15 minute procedure and the nurse tells me I need to do something with my phone...I'm getting calls and the buzzing is driving him crazy. Poor Matt called me four times. But he did leave a message so at least I got to hear his voice!

Same thing has happened now twice to me. My son tries to call me first and then calls my husband. Breaks my heart! I too was away from my phone for just a minute or two and missed the calls.

:( no calls for us!! :(((( JT has a meeting o. Thursdays at 1900 hours so I bet he was there during phone calls. Awwww so upset we didn't get to hear from him!! :( please tell ur sr's to say for us!! Man o man I am disappointed. :( boo hoo!!
I got a call from Bennett yesterday!! It was great to hear his voice. He sounded as if he was in good spirits, and doing well on all his testing. He only had to get one wisdom tooth pulled, which was no big deal. I was able to tell him I am in the hospital and will be okay. I didn't want to call up there to tell them only for him to worry. He said he would pray for me. Fills a mom's heart with love, pride, joy, and lots of gratefulness.
Sally can you see my green eyes glowing?? Really feeling low he didn't get to call. :( hoping its just because it looks like calls were made during his time for his rpo class. At least hoping and praying that. So sorry to hear you are in the hospital. Prayers for you.
Hoping to get letters and maybe a call today but at this point not expecting one. Just hoping.
Gla everyone else got one and everything is good.
Bless you all and hope to see you soon at PIR!! Hooyah!! Go Navy!!

I didn't get a call either! I am still hopefull that my daughter will get to call soon. I get letters though. I know that no news is good news but still...

I got a letter today, and my SR is doing AWESOME & LOVING it, but i'm feeling a lil' sad because at the end of the letter he said it sucked not getting letters. I write about 4 times a week but I didn't want to overwhelm him, I guess I better step it up!

Hi Johnsmom and Matt's mom!! My son is also 9/003. Said he had been siq a day ad lld a week for his side where he had his appendix out last may. :( it's great that your guys are doing so well. My son has actually mailed 3 envelops with everyone's letter back for me to keep for him!! Haha most of them are mine!! Lol!! I write daily and 3 times on the weekends. My mom writes about 1-2 a week and GF is still on 2nd letter and he first was sent back yesterday for not enough postage she is sooo upset. :( JT seems to be doing well says everyone calls him "rev" after Facing the Giants!! I thought it was cool. I think he is friends with one of your sons. He mentioned last names but I know we can't post them here for opsec rules. He still has to pass his float test last I heard. Mon says its because he has a "lead" butt! Lmbo!! Anyway, tell your boys thanks for me and stay strong!!

Thanks Heather :)

Hi Proudmomofnunez,  my son too is in Ship 9 Div 4.  He mentioned in his letter written on Sunday 10/14 that Ship 9 was moving to Ship 14 in about a week and a half. Did your daughter mention anyting about this? He gave us the new address and said start using it.   My son is the Assistant Starboard Watch Commander and Weapons RPO.  The Navy is making strong Men and Women out of our Kids!    Its going to be great to see them come PIR!  God Bless.

Hi Mom&dad4matt- i haven't heard anything at this time. I hope i hear something soon. Wouldn't that change their PIR date if they go to a different div? Our children are moving up. I read today that week 4 they get to shoot. I am sure my daughter is happy about that. She was on the rifle team in JROTC at her school for the last 4 years- and the last 2 she has gotten 1st and 2nd place. I know it will be different but she'll be happy to be shooting. I think week 5 they do firefighting. Well i hope to hear something soon about the div change and if their PIR date changes.

My son is in Ship 9 and said they are moving 27 October to Ship 14 but their PIR date has not changed. Same Divison just moving to another ship.
