Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 009 & 010!

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yes. I got 1 letter dated Oct 4 and he started Sept 13. I never got a form letter.

Hi Everyone. My Daughter Kayla is Ship 12 Div-101. She will attend A school in Mississippi. Haven't gotten a letter yet from her..just the formal and the Box. Just wanted to say Hello.

Hi K Is it 101. Mayby 010. My son is there. He goes to Pensacola FL. Welcome. Did you read they have liberty Wed after grad and Thursday. Looks like they fly out Friday. Welcome.

We received our first letter today!  He said he was enjoying BC and he passed his first swim test. Hope everyone else is getting their letters.

this no communication is not even funny anymore, its well into three weeks now and no phonecall, its his 19th birthday on monday, i hope he can call on sunday or monday, just to say hi i am ok!

I have started to say to myself no news is good news. The first call I got he needed more references. He could not talk. The second call was to tell me he was given 2 extra weeks. Again no chatting. I'm not sure I want the phone to ring. To me no news is good news. If he was not ok he would be calling. Maybe look at it that way. Sorry it's so hard for us all.

Hello, I'm new here, and My Boyfriend Zack is in Ship 12 Div 009. I got my first letter yesterday. :)

Welcome chelsearenee and Zack!!

Whoopee! Finally got that first letter from Matt & he sounds fine! He said BC isn't that hard & the food "ain't that bad". It sounded like the hardest thing was only getting 5-6 hrs. sleep. His P.S. was "need game scores". Hope everyone else is finally hearing from their loved ones!

So good to hear from my son ,Matt!  I feel confident enough now to go ahead and make travel plans for the Thanksgiving week.  P.I.R. in 36 days!

Good afternoon! My SR is James...he is my son-in-law. My daughter was in the navy but is now out on medical retirement...broke her back at a-school. She is doing fine now and they are expecting their first baby in April. James will be going to a-school in San Antonio. This is great for our family as we live in Houston and will be able to see him often. My daughter, myself and his mother will be driving up arriving late Sunday. We will be seeing some of the people and things that my daughter found while she was stationed there. Hoping that my other daughter will let me bring my oldest grandson...he will be 18 months old then ;). I kinda of doubt it though because it will be thanksgiving. Well hope everyone has a great evening!
Anyone here from ga?
