Have you received or sent any letters yet? I would ask him ASAP. The time it takes to send him a letter, for him to read it, and THEN send it back is a while... For instance, my SR received a letter from me on 09Oct dated 02Oct. I didn't get his 09Oct letter response until the 15Oct!! So it took about 2 weeks for him to reply. Snail mail SUCKS when you're trying to ask questions. So ask him and send the letter out first thing tomorrow so he can get back to you sooner and you can book the days you need. If all else fails, I'm sure you can call his recruiter and ask. They should have been assigned to somewhere before they left for BC.

i haven received anything yet:-/ but i already made the reservations at the navy lodge, i'll feel more safe being as close as possible, and i've been trying to reach his recruiter but i havent been able to get a hold of him, hopefully i will soon, thank you so much for your suggestions(:

Do you know what rate (job) he signed up for?  If you can tell us, we can tell you where his A school is located.

he signed up for Seabee,..i'd really appreciate it thanks!

A school is in Gulfport MS.  So he'd likely be leaving on Saturday morning.

what about for the S-PACT (undesignated) program?

i know how exciting!! i cant wait to be as close as you are,..and i'll go ahead and look into that, and maybe after you go through PIR, you can give me a heads up on what to expect and how you're experience was, if you dont mind, i'd like to hear from those who will or have recently be through it...thank you for your suggestions!

Since I don't know where my boyfriend is going after bc I booked a refundable room for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. If he ends up leaving Saturday I will cancel the room for Saturday night.

And I'm staying at the Quality Inn in Waukegan (3 miles from the base)

thats a good idea, i already reserved the room for thursday andfriday night, because more than likely my boyfriend will fly out next saturday morning, all i need is the flight...whens your PIR?

Yeah, I still don't really know what is going to happen after PIR for my boyfriend and from what I've read I think there is a good chance he is staying at GL. It's 11/30

mine signed up for Seabee so his A school is not in GL but thats awesome for you, hopefully you'll get to see him the whole weekend. And my PIR is 11/30 too(:

mine is undesignated (S-PACT) so he doesn't go to an A school but he will have a few weeks of training after bc

Do you know if he has gotten any of your letters yet?
