No- you have to be his spouse and be able to get a military ID yourself .......sorry:-( Unless he can book your flight for you.... But him being in bootcamp will probably be very difficult.
Oh he's not at bootcamp, he's in A school(: so he could book it for me?
Sorry- he is probably out of BC.... See if he can book it for you. Honestly i just booked a flight to go see my husbands PIR, and priceline was cheaper than booking through my military discounts! Good luck!!
Cool, thank you(:
I flew frm CA to SA the other week through south west & it was only $320. Good luck! :)
I will definitely check out southwest, thank you!
Usually when you are using a military discount, they require you to show a military ID, so, since you are the one flying, they would need to see a military ID for you.

But check with orbitz and travelocity, and Kayak, they usually have really good deals, then, before you book with them, check the airline that you have settled on, because sometimes the airlines themselves offer an even better deal. We just got tickets for our daughter round trip from OK to MD over Christmas and the airline was cheaper than with a mil discount, and we bought her boyfriend a ticket round trip from TX to here (he's also a mil dependent) and it was cheaper for his through kayak.

Good luck, hope you have a good visit!
I checked out the military site and found it mire expensive as well! But i'll take your advice and check out all the airlines. Thanks for your advice(:

I spoke with an airline rep on the phone and was told this for the reasoning behind military tickets being more, military tickets are more is because they are more likely to have to cancel at the last minute for some reason. With that being said. I agree look through other sites they are usually way cheaper. Also, make sure you clear your browsing history and cookies (they keep track of how much you are searching!! so they know how much you want it!!) and then also the best time to look is tuesday at 3 pm EST. and you need to buy by Thursday bc the cheap ones are pulled during the weekend. Wed is cheapest day to fly followed by Tuesday and Saturday. Sunday and Friday are the most expensive I think. But clearing your history will do wonders. We had to fly my husband from OK to WA the sunday after thanksgiving and when I cleared the history it went from $600 to $400!! If you can stay til the monday or tuesday after turkey day do it!! Its a lot cheaper!!

Military discounts are typically only for someone with an ID because otherwise people would claim to be a military gf and try to get discounts on tickets. There are even some things around where I live that is for the member only because there are so many spouses in the area lol!

Thank you very much for all the insight, the search history was surprising to me but i will definitely try it out!

you are welcome! I know I was surprised! but it totally worked for me!!! lol I couldnt believe it... but then I did and it really worked! It reminds me of the ads on facebook and gmail and stuff... they are all geared towards things you look up, or search or talk about. So it makes sense lol
