Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 003 & 004.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

My SR stated he attended "Gospel church" and it was very fun and all of the SRs were really into it! Div 004.
I guess on the next letter home my daughter will let me know something.
hi everyone- i am hearing a lot of things about graduation day and those on the list and also about asking if an SR has more than 4 coming if another SR has less if they can put strangers on another SRs list? I so hope that made sense.... LOL
Proudmom, My son wrote in his last letter that a lot of SR's don't have any family coming to PIR and something about getting them to let him have some of their spaces but I don't know how they work it out and to be honest I don't think Matt is going to need extra spots. My husband is retired USAF so he doesn't count. The "other" side of my son's family does not communicate with me so I don't know who is planning to go and how many spaces he actually needs. But, just let your SR know in a letter that you have more than four coming and see how they handle it. I know depending on the size of the graduating class they let extra family members in but you don't know until you get there. They do let the ones who can't get in wait in the visitor center then they can spend time with your SR after the PIR. Hope this helps. This is all new to me but I think what I said is pretty accurate. ood Luck!
Heather, I don't think they are allowed to give other SR's last names. It would be great if there was a way to send mail to SRs who are not receiving any mail. My husband says when he was in basic (many, many years ago) that mail call was the worst time of day for so many guys who never got mail! He reminded me yesterday that alot of these SRs come from less than idea home situations. Really sad.
Please check the RTC FB page. They just posted an update on this stating that SR could get in trouble for adding people they do not know to their list of 4. If they determine those added to the list are not affiliated with the SR, those civilans will not get to attend the PIR. Not worth the risk to get your SR in trouble for someone else. If they didn't make the list of 4, they can still see the recruit during liberty or try to get in once all others are seated.
Aaron's Mom, I read that as well right after this came up. I don't think Matt is going to need more than four spaces anyway. It seems like if there are that many SRs with no family attending there may very well be extra spaces anyway. And after all their hard work I woud hate to see any of them get in trouble for trying to get extra guests in by using another SR's unused spaces.
Well it will be 5 weeks tomorrow since I have spoken to my daughter. I have received letters and she keeps talking about when she will get to call home. I guess I may have to wait until PIR to talk to her in person. It was a long weekend waiting for the call that never came...
