Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 365 & 366.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Thanks, physically he shouldn't have had any reason not to pass PFA. He was in very good shape and i don't think he had any problems swimming, Sometimes my son is pretty independent and until I hear otherwise I just have to go on the assumption that he didnt think to call to let us know cause in his mind there was no doubt that he would pass.  Fingers crossed.  And if my thinking is correct..... I will have to torture him slowly when I see him at PIR. Hmmm!!!! what embarrassing thing can I wear for PIR????

Calirose, I love your thinking! We'll all have to think hard and come up with something outrageous for you to wear, then we can all give him a hard time for putting a Navy Sister thru this grief!

Looking at your picture I didn't think he would have any problems passing the PFA. The only other reason, besides having watch, is that he didn't have a phone card with minutes left on it. Did he take a phone card? Have you talked to him since he left? I know my son ran out of minutes towards the end of bootcamp (he was able to call home every night or so after battlestations) so we didn't get a call when he arrived in Pensacola. I don't blame you for wanting to torture him. Even if he thought you knew he would pass he still should have called. Is there a girlfriend or someone else he would call?

He took a phone card with 300 minutes on it and then I mailed another one with 800 minutes on it but henever did mention that he got the card.  He only made one phone call home and that was a short one to his dad so I don't think he would have used up the first card just on that one unless he let others use it also.  He did have a girl he was seeing and he asked me to send her flowers and I sent her a msg via facebook but she never responded to me.  they hadn't been seeing each other for more than a few months so not sure how close they could have gotten in that amount of time.

I feel so bad for you right now. I was so hoping that he would have called you by now. He did know that you were planning on going to the PIR, didn't he? Its not like you live really close and can just drive there. Plus there is the expense of getting there and getting a place to stay not to mention meals etc so you really need to know if you should go or not. I hope you get a call soon so you can finalize your plans. Please keep us posted. I'm sure I'm not the only one worrying about you.

Yes he knew that we and his grandparents (coming from Calif) would be coming out and that we have our plane tickets already purchased.  I reminded him a couple times that we couldn't get refunds. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow I am going to email his recruiter to see if he can get any info for me.

Just got phone call from one of the kids in div 367 to pass message to me regarding my son telling me to bring his cell, laptop, ipod and black nike socks to graduation THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!  Div 366 can't make phone calls but I did ask to confirm that he is graduating and he is. Thank you to everyone who supported me.  I will see everyone at PIR.  Don't know why lost phone privilages but at this point I don't care, just glad he will be graduating.

Calirose, I am so happy and relieved for you.  See you next Friday!

Calirose, I'm so glad you finally got word that he is graduating. You have to be on cloud 9 now after that call! Congratulations. Have a safe trip.
