I'm probably the youngest girl on here but I'm 16 almost 17 and my boyfriend of 1 year and 9 months is in the Navy (of course) he is 18 and is in Texas for a-school and will be a corpman when he is finished in February. I just wanted to ask if anyone else has already been through a-school and felt like they were alone all the time. And what you did to help get your mind off of it. I always find my self wanting to cry when he calls me every night and when he texts me. Is this normal?

I may not be in a school but I'm in boot camp right now, been terrible but I have been extremely worried and lonely. I sometimes feel like hes going to forget me or move on from me. Its just something I always worry about. If you ever ned a friend I'm here
LittleMissRed,
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel like that too sometimes, and I'm one of those people who worry about everything and my SR tells me not too but I do anyways. Thank you, I'm new on here and I don't know a lot of people yet.
Yeah, I've only gotten letters so far, and in every one he tells me who much he loves me and misses me. And it sometimes makes me feel better but other times I just cry cause I just want him home with me. But he is doing this for us, for us to be able to start a family. He couldn't afford to get in to college and he was able to get the exact job he wanted so were really thankful. But I can't help but be selfish.
Thank you that made me feel so much better! Is he in Texas?
My boyfriend Alex is there right now too and has been there for almost a month too.

Its totally normal girl. I didn't know your sailor was in TX. So is mine! :) My 20th birthday is tomorrow and I'm really sad that he wont be here for it! I feel really sad and lonely sometimes, but you just have to keep your head up! It's really hard, but just think about the future with him. That helps me sometimes. I think our guys will finish A-School at the same time, that's pretty cool :)

Whether you're 16 or 30, you love who you love and when you don't get to hug them and kiss them when you want of course it's going to make you sad! I totally understand how you feel girl... my boyfriend's gonna be in Texas for A school too after graduation this Friday. Although we will get our phones and ichat back I know I will still miss having him physically next to me. One day it'll all be worth it! At 16, imagine how strong you'll be from this experience when you get older! :) Long distance makes you appreciate and cherish your loved one more, so he must be special if you're still willing to go through all the heartache for him! :) Good luck to you and your sailor!!!

Abby, you are definitely not alone. I'm 18 and my boyfriend is in A school in Texas as well :) he is graduating at the end of January. Not knowing what they are doing the whole day and just waiting around for some sort of communication is horrible :/ I hate it. and i do feel lonely a lot more often than i thought i would.. even though i have two jobs and am a full time student.
I'm feeling needy.. lol, like i need someone to talk to the whole time. no one understands in my family.

If you want someone to talk to please message me.. i could use some company myself.

Keep strong!!

Karolina

Thanks that helped a lot! I'm glad that I'm not alone

My boyfriend just graduated from a school in San Antonio and is now a corpsman so trust me, I know how you are feeling! I am 20 years old and in college so I had that to distract me, but a school was almost harder than going through him being away at bootcamp! It was so nice to be able to hear his voice over the phone and to text him, but it was like the universe is just teasing you. It is very lonely! You just have his whole schedule memorized and you are on edge wating for a call or text all day. Their classes are SO long and they have to study and stand watch and it just never ends! So you are definately not alone. If you have any questions at all about a school stuff just let me know! I am glad to help :)
