Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 007 & 008.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions  and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Lol.. His name is Gavin. It is an odd last name. I'd never heard of it until I met him(: He seems to be doing pretty well. He just says that he gets stressed a lot and misses me a ton. He did say in one of his letters last week that their division has the highest score in the ship! After BC he is going to San Antonio for A school; his job is MA. I unfortunately am not getting to go to PIR ): I am in nursing school and it is impossible for me to miss. Glad to hear that your SR is doing well!

Oh, you poor thing that you can't go... How old is Gavin and what is your name... I think Richard enjoys his friend ship and they seem to be sticking together!

Also, I will be there, so if there is something you would like me to get and give to him, please let me know and i will make sure he receives it... I am taking cupcakes to the boys so I'm sure they will enjoy that!

Oh, what is your name??? lol

My name is Sadie. He is 18, will be 19 in Dec. That is so sweet of you! I'm sure all of the guys will really enjoy that!!
Hi, Any good news from this week letters? We got 2 letters today and my son sounds tired and unhappy for the first time, apparently Div 008 is not doing a very good job and they were punished almost everyday last week. Poor guys, very stressfull.

Just 1 more week!! Hoping things are going better.

hey mattmother! my fiance is in that division! i haven't received a letter week. im soo anxious to hear from him he was suppose to call last week. hopefully this is a better week for them!

7 more days Ladies, I can not wait to see my SR, I miss him so much. Is anyone attending the Meet & Greet at the Ramanda?

Hi Mattmother - I got a letter yesterday from my Matt and he too was SO discouraged, which in turn made me so sad. On top of their Div not doing well, on Halloween, they went and pulled his 4 wisdom teeth plus a molar. Said he was still swollen 2 days later. I though they did that earlier in boot camp. Why on earth so soon before BS?? That kind of dental work takes a while to heal. Sigh  ~ one more week and it'll get better. He also said they were told to tell us no more letters. All in all, not a good letter.

hi martiheg- how long did it take for you to receive the challange coin? Do you think it is to late to order? What div. is you son?

My fiance had his two wisdom teeth pulled on I think the 29th as well but he said, it's because they ultimately decided that he should have it pulled now. He seemed to have enjoyed getting the rest, because their division was IT'd so much last week for people messing up.

Got a call from my SR tonight!! Div 008 won the Captains Cup and were rewarded with a phone call!! It was so amazing to hear his voice. He said that they all felt so good to actually get a "pep talk" for once!! (:

Has anyone from Div 007 received the "I am a Sailor" call yet?
