He left yesterday afternoon. He is my best friend and has been for a fourth of my life. I am taking it pretty well so far but I think it is because I have heard from him over the past day. He is now officially at boot camp. I am little confused about how everything works. He is doing AVFS. All I know is that he will be in Pensacola for A school after boot camp. I can't wait to get a letter for him! His mom said it will be about 3 weeks which is kind of disheartening but what can you do. I am very proud of him.

You are right that only certain women can be with not just a navy man but any branch. Like I said in my other reply, the hardest part is not being able to talk to him. I know I'll feel so much better once I get even one letter from him. He left a voicemail on my phone that I listen to every day and love it. I can't wait to get his address and start showering him with letters. I started writing them last month. Glad we can lean on each other during the tough times, and brag about the good ones too! :)
My boyfriend has a dep group on his facebook so they posted his address online. Too bad I am in California and I cannot send my letters to him. It is quite upsetting. I can't wait to get home and write to him! I can only imagine how much he is hating bootcamp right now lol. Many people tell me the first couple of weeks are very upsetting for the men so I am sure our letters will delight them :)
haha Ive already starting harassing his family texting and fb messaging them saying that to tell me once they get his form letter! I cant wait.
Michelle. how did they get their address so quick?! im jealous..lol
It's hard to explain to someone in the civilian world what military life is like. It's good to find people who are more in tune with what you're going through. It makes it easier to talk to them. All you can do is try to educate your friends that do not know what they are talking about. And of course don't let it get to your head. My boyfriend and I have only been together since January, but we already know we're going to get married. Some people roll their eyes or say "whoa isn't that fast?". I realized the only people that say that have not found true love yet. And as I've always said everyone has their OWN love story. No one has the same one and that is what makes it so beautiful. :) I don't have a bear, but I have a huge body pillow I spray with cologne and cuddle with every night.
That's great girl. When you know, you know. I never understood that til now. Until my reasoning changed from "I could see myself marrying him" to "He is the one I want to marry". My sailor is the love of my life. We are so open and honest with each other so there is never any question and there never has been from the start. I can't wait to read a letter from him! It's what is keeping me going. I stay really positive in my letters I've been writing. I'm also honest in saying I miss him and that I do struggle, but that my love for him is not changing, just getting stronger. Doesn't it feel like time slowed down after they left? It flew by while he was here. I need to go to sleep earlier so my days end earlier lol
AWW!!! Isn't is very cute?? I love it! I am so glad he gave it to me.
So cute!! It was the opposite for us lol I gave him this navy bear that sings and dances to "anchors away". Now i wish i kinda kept it until he went A school since he cant bring it to boot camp anyways lol
Yeah, he has been wanting a watch very badly but I opted to wait until graduation to get him one. It is a navy seal type watch and so I am very excited to see his reaction :) I would of totally kept it with me lol
What kind of watch are you getting him? I'm getting my man a Suunto. It's so nice. We're not exchanging our Christmas gifts until after A school when he returns home to move us. :) I'm still bringing something to graduation though!
