My boyfrined leaves in 26 days and every time I even think about it I tear up. How do you guys cope wuth your loved one being gone? I just can't stand the fact that I won't be able to tell him good morning, or wish him good night, or be there for him when he needs someone to talk to. He's my best friend...will this feeling ever go away? It's already horrible and he hasn't even left yet. I want to make the most of our time left together but it's hard for me thinking "this might be the last time we do this" or "this might be the last time we do that." Thanks for listening to me whine. lol :)

Me and my fiance plan to marry when he gets on christmas break. I am twenty and he would have just turned 19. If you truely love him and you see yourself without a doubt always loving him and wanting to be with him. I dont see no problem with doing it.

Then there is no problem waiting either. LOL Ya'll arent going no where  (figuratively speaking) There is no reason to rush things, but also no reason to wrorry about age.

Maybe you can go ahead and marry him during one of your breaks together and this way when you are done with school the option to move with him would be alot easier to do?
Groton ct. Sounds like fun right? Lol he graduates bc at the end if this month and by jan 1st I should be moving up there. We are hopefully getting married while hes home on christmas break if we can get the paper work done in time :)

I'm only 16, so I don't know how seriously you'll take my opinion, but I don't think 24 sounds too young. I mean yes, you could be older, but if my boyfriend and I were your age we would be getting married in a heartbeat. If you feel right about it, go for it.

Hey girl, one thing you guys could do is just go to the magistrate to make your marriage legal for the navy. Then when you finish grad school you can have your ceremony for you two and your family and friends. It doesn't take away from that special day at all. You get to live with your man and also have your ceremony when the time is right. It's something my man and I are going to do and I've seen it done before. Just a thought :)

:) do it!! I'm sure it'll make him happy and relieve some stress for you!

Aw that's good to hear! We are planning to do a destination wedding in the Caribbean probably when the time comes. Hit two birds with one stone that way. Wedding then honeymoon. Then back to work since I doubt the navy will allow too much time off! Unless he builds up some leave days!

Before planning a destination wedding with a sailor, you have to check with the Navy about travel restrictions.  Mexico is still off limits, and he has to have written permission to go out of the US on leave.  You can still have your wedding, but now there's more paperwork!

Go to Hawaii instead.

Thats what me and my fiance plan to do, go ahead and get it done legally but throw a wedding once we get settled at our first base :)

Hey girls, I found a couple fun things we could do(if you're not doing it already) It's a 30-day photo challenge. I am going to do it in the form of a scrapbook to give to my man when I see him at graduation, but you guys can do it how you want. Some of the questions or photos might not apply to you so I posted two links and you can mix and match the days if you want. I figured it would give me something to look forward to doing each day and another thing to KILL TIME! What do you think?

That is funny. I didn't find it til this past week, but it's definitely something I would do. I do little things like that for him all the time. I haven't started yet, but I will. I figure I'll start a little later so after 30 days there won't be much time left to give it to him!
