Hello everyone, I see alot of new people coming into this group and I just want to introduce myself. My name is tiffany, but littlemissred or red works just fine. I'm 20 years old, currently employed as a delivery driver and a waitress, I also run my own photography business. Www.facebook.com/littlemissreds for those who want to have a look. I enjoy reading and collecting books, I love to watch anime and to go to the conventions that are held. I am very way going and a quick learner ask I'll try to answer any questions I know the answer yoko. I am very new to this though. My fiance decided in july top go into the navy after I told him he was a procrastinator. He wanted to go into the army but got lazy with that. Lol. But in july he went to talk to his recruiter, and august went to meps, and left oct 2nd. While I pushed him to make up his mind I regret him doing out so quickly!. Haha, he w anted to get out of his job and wanted to be able yup start our life going so even in his letters he thanks me every time for helping him get there. He is in week five, so I have three weeks left. My fiance was amazing. The sweetest person I ever met. He is doing his dream job of computers and he'll be doing them on the subs. We have been dating for a little over a year and a half, and he proposed to me on our one year anniversary, just a few days after signing the lease for our apartment. I'm so proud of him and what he is accomplishing for us.

I'm creating this discussion for everyone to be able to introduce themselves and meet the others in this group so feel free to continue it :)

Yay! I've been waiting for someone to do something like this. My name is Sindina (yes it is pronounced like the word "sin" and "dina" put together) My friends call me Dina hence why I picked it as a user name. I work as a Licensed Practical Nurse at a Nursing home & a part time cashier. My fiance and I have been together well going on 3 years (our anniversary is Jan. 7th), ha! my fiance wanted to join the army to. His army recruiter got lazy and was a complete douche, so he randomly bumped into his Navy recruiter and decided he was more interested in what the Navy had to offer. He is also into computer programming, software, and  that kind of stuff. He was signed up and started going Meps in March and left for Boot camp Sept. 20th.  He is graduating in 5 days and 21 or so hours lol. We have 5 dogs and his two cats, and a baby on the way. I try to comment on topics that I could help out with.

I'm Margaret ... AUntie Em to my family.

Born in the Navy, raised in the Navy, joined the Navy, married Navy and am now retired Navy.  No kids, it didn't work out, but I acquired kids along the way.  My friend and my nephew are in the Navy!  I figure someone on the far end of the journey needs to hang out here.

Hubby works as a trucker, I stay home and paint, and we go to Burning Man every year. I don't party, but I do run around with hippies and freaks!

Nice to meet you all.  Please don't post too many details such as where you live or how to contact you  ... you never know who is reading here.  The group feels safe, but anyone in the world can read it.  That's why I don't talk much about my sailors, even though I'm proud. Also why I use my nickname and not my real name, and why few folks know my FB.  I have my page here set to private as well as my FB.   I worry for the safety of you all too.  The Navy even has a word for it, PERSEC (personal security).  Share wisely!

PS... I tend to lecture ....

My name is Lyric. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years. He left for boot camp on Nov. 5th and I've been an emotional wreck ever since lol! I'm a full time college student. I'm also a dancer (Hip Hop and modern, not stripper (: ) I love to write poetry and laugh which is one of the reasons I fell in love with my guy! I'm looking forward to talking to everyone and I really appreciate the support that I have received. It really means a lot. Thank you!

Hi, my name is Brittany, my boyfriend calls my Britty, hence the name.  I'm 23 years old and am currently a nursing student and work as a CNA in a local nursing home.  Nursing school is about one of the only things keeping me sane while my boyfriend is away.  It's very stressful and keeps my busy which is nice.  Another thing that I have found really helpful is hanging out with his family.  We all miss him very much and it's nice to know that they're still around too.  We've been dating for a little over a year and so far, even though this has been hard, I feel like it's brought us closer together and it definitely makes you appreciate little things more. I can't wait to see him again!  20 more days!  Well 19 and a few hours :)

My boyfriend left on the 5th. I'm away from family too because I'm in college so I know how you feel. I miss him like crazy!
Me too girl. We went from seeing each other everyday to no communication at all. I don't like it lol... I'm proud of him.. But I can't wait to be in his arms again... I know it sounds cheesy but it's true
They say it gets easier when you have letters to look forward to.

Haha i wouldnt say easier! I stalk the poor mail man everyday. But yes just wait until he gets yours and you'll have some sort of weird late communication! When i get letters now they're replying to my previous ones instead of himjust saying Well i havent gotten any letters yet.... (beware their first 1 -2 lettters may say this, the navy doesnt hold mail, they have to train a recruit in that division to be able to sort through the mail)

Hey everyone, name is Jess and my boyfriends name is Harland. We are actually close to being together for 6 years! So,e breaks in between but that's what you get when you grow up together! Harland left on November 1st and even I am apprised on fast it's going but my goodness do I miss him. He is going into nuke school right after so I'm hoping to find out his graduation date soon. He is going to be a grandfather compared to everyone else who joins but I'm here to talk but I need his voice in my ears lol
Hi everyone!

My boyfriend is also graduating boot camp in five weeks and I can't wait!! We have been together since June 2011. He's my best friend and some days are really hard without him. A few days after he left I was Google-ing as usual and that's how I found this site. It has been very helpful, informative, and it's nice to be able to share experiences with people who understand this life. My boyfriend has talked about going into the Navy since we first started dating and he says boot camp is not that fun but he's half with his decision and I'm so proud of him. He is S-PACT (undesignated), he should get his orders this week or next and he will probably report to his first duty station sometime in January.

I am a dental hygiene major with a little less than a year and a half to go!! I can't wait to get out of school :) I love traveling, it is probably one of my biggest passions in life and something I hope to get to do with my (future) sailor. My other passion would be competitive cheerleading, but I gave that up almost three years ago because of bad joints, my doctor says I have the joints of a 70 year old.. lol! Also my boyfriend and I are super goofy and love to do stuff like go to the zoo and we've made two build-a-bears together. We're like little kids! Well that's pretty much me and our relationship ;)
I'm Anna. I have been married to my Sailor for 20 years. We met when we were both Active Duty Navy (he still is, I got out long ago). Now our oldest (and his fiancee) are both in the Navy as well. Our daughter jokes that she's "the black sheep" because she is studying to be a teacher :-) (freshman in college).

In a way, you can say I've been a professional volunteer. I've spent a lot of my time volunteering with Scouts, in the classes and with school wide programs, our church, MOPS, FRG's, an Ombudsman, and COMPASS mentor (as well as raising the kids and following my husband around the world lol!). Now that we are empty nesters, I'm enjoying time with just me and my husband and deciding what I want to try next :-)

I'm Emily!

I've been around here for a little while... Aaron will hit his 3 year mark in the Navy in January. We were dating when he left for bootcamp, and I graduated high school about a year and a half later. We're married now after 4 years of long distance dating, and he's a Nuke on the Stennis. I'm going to school up here in Washington and working part time as a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Navy, but don't we all. :)
