Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 017 & 018. These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the main wall to post questions, and concerns, We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello all, I've been lurking for a while around on N4M getting lots of great info, but I'm just now getting around to joining the group. My wife is in Div 018, and I can't wait to see her!

Wow, fancy that, my daughter is also in Div 018...wouldnt it be wierd if they knew each other?!

Got a call from my SR this morning and he has been ASMOd into Div 017. So I am just here to say Hi!

I just found this site yesterday. My SR is on Ship 03 Div 17 also.

Hello all! Just joined last night.... first time on is today. My son is in Div018.

Can anyone tell me if there will be some type of Meet & Greet set up for families/SR's for the PIR? My son is in Ship03/Div 018. We will be flying into Chicago early Tuesday morning (11/20/12). Thx for any input.

I'm just finding out about this website and I'm practically in tears with joy. I felt isolated for a time because I did not know where to go for answers, actually I didn't even know where to ask the questions.  Now, my son is graduating on 11/21/12 and I had no idea what to do. Then I found this site. I wish I had found it earlier because I hastily made my own air and hotel reservations just to make sure I would be accommodated.  It also took so long to hear from my SR that I didn't know how graduation was going to work as the holiday is the next day, and how much leave he would have. I read on another site that if they leave GL they ship out the day after graduation, (which would be Thanksgiving) I was so sad I would not be able to spend Thanksgiving with him. Now I've read on this site that there is a possibility that he may not ship out until the day after Thanksgiving. Is there any way I could get a definite answer on this. His last phone call to me was so short I hardly had time to ask how he was doing. Any help would be appreciated,

If you are on Facebook, there are also facebook pages, one for the PIR date, and one for Divisions 17 and 18 only.  There is a lot of good information and support on those sites too.

Hi TiagosMom12,

My son is Ship 03 Div 17 also. You can search Facebook for: Navy PIR 11/21/12 Ship 03 Division 018 & 017.
