For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

They could, but some recruits are held in order to fill another division. Divisions start with 80 recruits.
I think this is how it works:
If the number of people arriving is, say 450 in one day, they will make 5 divisions and hold the rest for the next week's arrivals. 80*5 divisions = 400, so 50 people would be held.
Your recruit could be the same PIR or could be the following week.

If 450 recruits arrive the same day, the odds of all of them PIRing the same day is 3.4396E-136 (that is .5 x .5, 450 times

it depends on the individual, there are many divisions that graduate the same day, you should get a letter within a month of him arriving at BC, i think i got mine after 2 or 3 weeks, and it will explain everything u need to know, but remember u need to read it carefully because i though it was ok to skim though it and 3 days before we were gonna leave to go see him i reread it and we both expected him to be able to come home for 2 weeks, and in the letter it specified that he would go straight to A school but he had a couple days of liberty. his graduation date should be listed along with his address and if u have his address then ask him in a letter, and he could tell u

I would think probably. I know when my sailor graduated he had people in his PIR that got there up to the week after him. It was a big graduating class though. I think they biggest they had up until that point. A letter will be sent out about week 2 or 3 with the exact info though. And of course things do happen. You just never know with the military.

Simple answer is no they can not expect to graduate the same day....to know for sure when they will, you need to wait for the letter
