While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Form Letter
My boyfriend's mom received the form letter and boot camp graduation date! YAY! That is always a good sign. I sent my letter out to him on Wednesday because I had his address given to me from his recruiter. Now all I can do is wait...Everyday when I come home I hope to see a letter from him. It is kind of exciting to know that I will be hearing from him soon. Anyone hear from their men?? My boyfriend started bootcamp on November 6. I really hope to hear from him. Until then I will continue to ship off those letters. Hope everyone had a good day. STAY POSITIVE! We can do it :)

January 4, 2013. However I will not be attending the actual ceremony due to the fact that he has 4 family members that will be attending and apparently it is very strict as to allowing ONLY 4 people. You used to be allowed to wait in a standby line but I guess they do not allow that effection January 1, 2013. I am quite upset about the matter but I guess that is one of the things you have to deal in having the life of a military girlfriend... disappointment.

: ( Im really sorry to hear that! I will most likely be in the same situation. I was aware that only 4 people were aloud at the graduation but I didnt know they got rid of the standby. My bf has a very close family so I am pretty sure I won't be going either. We talked about it the night before he left but he had no idea who he was going to put on the list. Kinda bummed..my backup was to wait in standby if I wasn't on the list.
On a positive note, it is more money to save for a flight to visit him once he is in A school. I heard that they eventually get the whole weekend off, where as at graduation they literally leave the next day on a plan for A school, unless they are staying in GL for their training.
Thats one thing im learning so far just from all this..don't get your hopes up

Exactly. My thoughts were the same. I figured saving up to visit him at A school either in Virginia or Florida would be much better. I would get him all to myself!!! (That is a plus) If you think about it yeah it would be nice to see him at PIR but his family is going to want to surround him and how much time will you actually get with him...very little. I guess now that I put things into perceptive they do not seem as bad but I mean like any girlfriend I would love to see him as soon as I possibly can. Everything is just so unknown and that is the one thing I am started to dislike. You can't plan anything because you simply do not know.

Yea this whole thing is an adjustment. His mom finally revived his form letter today. PIR date 1/4/13. Kinda bummed was hoping he would make the cut off for the 12/28 graduation that way he could have been home for a week including new years! Oh well.. What can you do. What is your boyfriends ship and div? Mines is ship 14 div 45. I've seen some ppl have gotten phone calls today from their SRs in div 49 & 50!

Thats cool that means they are both in the same ship and I think train together as well. Supposingly they might all be able to make calls on thanksgiving :)

Also that is ridiculous that their PIR is the 4 because people who arrived on the 6th have PIR the 28th. What the fuck. Excuse my language lol. Once again this is ridiculous. -_-

I know right!! Like they literally must have just filled the last division. Totally sucks because I got my hopes up thinking he would have the 28th and everyone was saying how that PIR gets to go home for a week. So i got super excited like "oh he will be here for news years!"..yea..no.. So now with all his family most likely being on the access list and him not getting any holiday leave because he graduates the 4th I know I prolly wont be seeing him for awhile! :( Welcome to the military...ugh.

Lol thank goodness I have this and other girlfriends to vent to or else I would be going even more insane. Hopefully we get a call on thanksgiving. Maybe in one of my letters I'll ask him about your boyfriend's division and if he knows anything about it. I watched a graduation video made by a mom and of course it made me cry...

When did your SR leave? They usually receive the form letter 10-14 days after they leave. I know how you feel. His mom just got his form letter Saturday and before that I was about to scream seeing everyone else post they got the letter
