Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 043 and 044.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My daughter is Ship 11 Div 044

I haven't received any personal letters from her yet, but am hopeful to get one this week.

Would like to "friend" anyone else within her division to share any info about what the recruits are doing and going through.

My boyfriend is also ship 11 div 044. I got a call from him on Saturday. They had their first PT test and he finished his run time under 10 minutes so he was awarded a call. He said everything is going well and he had finally adjusted to everything.

My son is Ship 11 Div 044. Really counting on a letter this week. His youngest sister arrived home from college yesterday and it is just really hitting me that he won't be here for Thanksgiving. Crossing my fingers that he might get to call home this week, too.

My daughter is also ship 11 Div 043/044.

I still have not yet received personal mail or any calls. Thanks for the update Rickysgirl! Nice to know someone heard from the division :) Almost at the month mark when we will be able to see them! I can't wait! It's really quiet around here without her.

my daughter is ship 11 div 043, have gotten nothing from her except her form letter.  Was hoping for a phone call yesterday but I guess it won't come till christmas.  Seeing that some got mail this week makes me hopeful that I will be getting some in the next day or 2

still no phone calls or letters from my daughter.  However her boyfriend received 4 letters yesterday.  She told her boyfriend that she didn't pass her 1st PT test :( but gets 2 more chances.

Don't worry about the PT test. I heard somewhere it goes from about 60% failing the first test to 5% failing the last one. They are constantly active and getting into better physical and mental shape. By the end it will be a breeze for her :) Plus the motivation of getting out of there helps! I always had my best run time when there was something to hope for like graduation or getting our first weekend pass at AIT (Army's version of A-school)! Glad you got to hear something from her! Like someone else put it on this site. 4 more Fridays until we get to see our sailors! :)

thank you for this info. that encouraged me alot.

I am usually pretty good at figuring things out but this website is a bit much.  Am I automatically in the group for those in div 43/44?  I hope I am but can't tell for sure.  Enjoy reading the different posts that others have received mail/phone calls knowing that soon I should too.  I guess the more that I'm on this website, the more familiar I will be.  Does anyone know how soon we just be making reservations for PIR?

My son was originally in the PIR group 12/21/12 but has been moved back to 12/28, I had already made my reservations for that weekend, but I know there wont be a problem to just change the date. This PIR group seems to be a lot smaller then 12/21/12.  I received a letter today, dated 11/17..he thinks hehe  He had some teeth pulled so he was in his rack for 2 days but overall was feeling good. He also said he had some tests coming up but didnt mention what they were...he requested that we write ALOT..I think he his a little homesick :(

YAY!!!! Received four letters in one today from my son in 11/044! He sounds really great. He said he was named AROC (which I have no idea what that is) but he said it was a big responsibility. His letters were mostly upbeat, funny, and entertaining. He mentioned a friend named Athenos (sp?) Said it was physically tough and has had his share of punishments but says he is learning how not to mess up! LOL. Was SO glad to hear from him. He also said he passed all of his physical tests. He said he was really regretting not taking a picture of his girlfriend with him, so I need to make sure she sends him one! Also, apparently, he now gets a tinge of joy from folding things. HA HA! Gotta love that boy!

Finally!  Received a letter from my daughter!  She sounds in good spirits. She had been put on light duty for a few days due to shin splints after a run & also scheduled to have wisdom teeth removed.
