Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 041 and 042.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My SR is Div 42 and is headed to San Antonio after BC for Master at Arms.  Any other families with MA?

Hi,

My son is also a Master at Arms...ship 13 div 42.

DOES NOT WORK FOR ME, TAKES ME DIRECTLY TO THE OFFICAL PAGE OF NAVY FOR MOMS.

I get the same thing when I try to find the face book page takes me to navy for moms also...

Still no letter...hoping for Friday!!! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you : )

Hi all, still no phone call or letter, 13/041, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope we all hear from them soon

Me either maybe today friday but not going to get my hopes up. He knows I love him. That is what counts.

first letter received! He said everyone is sick with "recruit cough" sounds like a cold. He said the close quarters takes some getting used to, but he has 2 brothers so it wasnt too bad. Also there are no doors on the toilets, so hard to get used to that. His letter was upbeat, said everyone passed physical and swim tests so far, and they are doing a lot of exercising. He was doing pretty well, but he hadn't received any mail from us yet, and I ve sent a lot. Also a lot of snoring going on in this division, he said that is helped along with everyones congestion.

Paula: That's great to hear you received a letter always good to hear some news even if it is not directly from them. I hope they all feel better soon!!! Good to hear they all passed physicals though I was thinking about that! Thanks for posting.

My son's on same ship-thanks for the update.  Hope their all feeling better. I've not heard anything yet.  I think I'll go check the mailbox.  Are you going to meet and great.  I'm not sure if we are yet but would love to meet his shipmates families

Anyone have news on the guys on ship 13 div 41?  I received one letter from week one.

Got a letter from my son SHIP 13 DIV 042. It was written on Thanksgiving and mailed on Monday. Nice to know how long it will take to get his letters. He said the Division was having a hard time getting it together, but that the food was good. He joked about falling asleep in the dentist chair while he had his front two teeth fixed. (They were chipped in a car accident and had been "fixed" three times by his "dentist" back home...hopefully the Navy got it right!) Didn't have to have his wisdom teeth out so that was good news!
