Hi guys, I'm new here. My boyfriend of three years (and hopefully fiance soon) left for basic on Nov. 19 and so far I've been writing him a letter every night. A few questions that maybe some of you more experienced ladies can answer for me: How long will it be before I get his address so I can mail all my letters? When will he be able to start writing to me? And, is there anything off-limits that I shouldn't write in my letters? I want to be really mushy and romantic but I don't want him to get made fun of or anything. I have no idea how this works and I'm freaking out a little. Thanks in advance for your help!

Yeah they have to be in bed but they can't force them to close their eyes. Lol They don't know which recruit she's talking about so I think she's ok. Yeah, that sounds like exactly what they would do. I always got a kick out of it

LoL! I'm glad I am not the only one who loses their car. :3 I agree, letters from our SRs are like the Holy Grail! :)

no, I lose everything. And not because I'm not responsible, maybe just a bit lost sometimes lol. That's why I have him and my lil guy. My son is always finding stuff for me! haha

Awa that is sweet! At least you have your son to help you while your sweetie is gone. :3

yeah :) both my boys keep me going

You would be surprised what they find out. I am just giving a kind warning. Not trying to be rude. one of my husbands friends his Mom was on this site and her picture was a cat. They found out it was his Mom just based on things she had mentioned and connected the dots, she never stated his name, what his job was going to be or anything, just connected dots of what she had written. For the rest of BC they gave him a lot of shit about it. I know they cant force them to close their eyes but they can get in trouble for doing things they arent supposed to. Again it was just a warning. Not trying to sound rude in anyway.

Aw I didn't mean to make you think I thought you were being rude. I never got that impression so I apologize. I know they look for things to use against them. I totally understand where you're coming from :)

:) Sometimes I know I come off a little blunt and I know how the internet can misrepresent things. lol but yea they are always looking for things to pick on em about. But when I was asking My husband about it he said they actually got punished for people being up and messing with their stuff after lights out. Thats why I was most concerned. lol I know my husband already did enough pushups as it was lol!

Ha yeah you're right. But hey the more you do the easier they get lol. I used it as motivation, but I'm a lil crazy

haha yeah my husband is the kind of person that laughs when he is mad, so he doesnt get angry and so he ended up laughing a few times at an RDC and he ended up doing pushups quite a bit. Luckily pushups are cake to him lol if they had made him run that would have been some real punishment lol

Ha yeah the first day of boot camp (after processing) I guess I was smiling while they were yelling. Yeah, one of the drill sergeants caught me and I got it. I got in trouble one other time for smiling. I can't help it, I like to smile! I kept it under wraps though. We were doing enough pushups lol

I wanted to send an envelope to my SR so he could send back all the letters he has been getting. He is running out of room. The best envelope I could find was the flat rate envelope so he can put as many letters as he needs in it. It doesn't matter the size of the envelope I send him right? The envelope I am putting it in is about the size of a piece of paper.
