Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 055 and 056.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi there momto4 I'm good but still waiting for a letter from my son. We're originally from NJ but recently moved to NC and my son is staying in GReat lakes for A school. His job is gunners mate. How are you today?
Hi momto4 and DebbieF
i am doing good this morning. I havent heard from my son yet either but Im gonna write another letter today. My son wants to be a damage controlmen and he will be staying in GL too. Have you ladies started your trip plans yet ? Im workin on mine. Well you ladies have a great day.
Isabellamom- I made my plans...flying southwest into midway airport, car rental from car rentals.com ... They were the cheapest, and as for the hotel I've made reservations at 3 hotels but am pretty certain that I'll be staying at Navy Lodge and will cancel the others...for ramada inn and residence inn! Just trying to save a little money ya know with the holidays here and all. My first night with residence inn was 159.00 at navy lodge it's 70.00! I cannot wait to hear from him...dying to know how he's doing!

I haven't started mine yet!   I wrote son today & told him I needed to know how much time/if any he wld be spending with us after graduation....don't know how many days I need to get the hotel for.....Anyone else know?

I'm pretty sure since your sons going to San Antonio for A school, you'll have Friday with him right after graduation and most likely he will leave on Saturday for Texas! So as for your travel plans...maybe that will help. I would over book the hotel rather than not book at all, I hear they fill up quick! My sons staying in Great Lakes for A school so were going to fly in on the 9th (just to make sure we don't have any weather related issues)

WOW!  I was afraid of that....But now I have tears (crying now) knowing I won;t get much time with him...

: (

Awww don't cry....I'm pretty sure you can go to the airport and stay with him until he leaves. And on a positive note...you'll be able to speak with him and Skype while in A school. So that's much better than boot camp! Chin up...we're gonna make it through this!
Hi, ladies. We are from Philadelphia. I recieved a letter from him 2 days ago. He said he has made some new friends so thats always good. My son is going onto San Antonio for hospital corpsman A school. He is doing Dental Technician. He is 18. How old are your children? No I have not made my plans yet. I am thinking of staying at the Ramada. How about you?

HI!   Im so excited!  My son will be going to San Antonio also to be corpsman!

Cody is 22 yrs, old...
