Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 057 and 058.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is KEVIN MONTON, ship 11, div 057.  He's 18 and we finally got a letter from him today.  no call yet.    Kevin said he's made lots of friends and a few will continue on to A school at Great Lakes with him.  Kevin is studying Advanced Electronics and Computers.   This site is great for us to connect.  So nice to hear what other families are hearing.   Joan Monton (Ridgewood, NJ)

Hey ladies, I just received the letters from my son. :)

I did something similar, i wrote my husband a letter and put it in his address book. :)

So exciting people are getting letters!  Anyone receive a call yet?

Hoping to get a call tomorrow...no call yet.  We recevied a letter on Friday, Kevin's GF and our friend recevied letters from him Thursday.  Would love a phone call....

Wishing our phone calls would start coming!!!
Today was kind of disappointing. I (like many of you I am sure) was hoping for a phone call . But nothin :(
Jan. 11th came soon enough!!!!

I dont understand why our groups haven't gotten their phone calls! It is driving me crazy.

No phone calls from my son yet. Alex Ship 11 Div 058. Thought for sure today would be the day I could hear his voice. He sent letters saying he passed his swim test and his PFA test. I think I got that right....it's his physical assessment test and he had his wisdon teeth out. I'm sure he is miserable, he also said he had a cold. My Sailor son Adam said that is normal and they have a name for it, it is called the Ricky Crud. Sounds inviting doesn't it? Ok...hope that everyone starts receiving calls soon.

Reading this makes me so sad.  My son Kevin also in Ship 11, div 057.  OMG  I'm praying they're not sick!  Please let me know if you get a call.  I will do the same.  This not hearing from them is terrible.

Just got my phone call!

Alex called too!  Ship 11 Div 058 He sounded great, said they are behind in training but that should not affect his grad date. My son in San Diego said he doesn't think it is anything to be concerned with. It is most likely because of the holdidays. So wouldn't you know I was shopping had only planned on being out for an hour. So I stood in the middle of the store crying!  Hope everyone got there call as well
