Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 055 and 056.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hey there everyone...scratch my post right above this one...I got a call today! Woo hoo! I told him I was sad that he hasn't sent us any letters and he was like...mom? I sent a few letters to you! So yay!!! He didn't forget about me!! Lol.

Hello Ladies my husband is ship 14 div 55 his A school will be in Virginia Beach! His Job is Operational Specialist. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

So glad we are starting to get phone calls!  It was so good to hear from him.  I was surprised at how good he sounded.  He even survived getting his wisdom teeth removed.  I made my reservation today at Springhill Suites.  We are going to come in on Thursday Night.

Im glad we are starting to get letters and phone calls. Im praying my sons foot gets better and he catches up.
Woo hoo DebbieF me too :)
Hi all, another letter from my son today and he said all is well. The group is starting to gel and have fun together. He has passed the swimming test and says keep sending the letters and bandaids. :)

Hi Moms - new to N4M - my son is in Div 055 - it's so awesome to be able to connect with everyone.

Hi NukeMom
welcome aboard. I hope you are finding all the information you need,If not just ask and Im sure we can help you. How is your sr doing

Thanks Isabella!   The information is very helpful - but some of the information about graduation and the access list is contradictory - I finally broke down and called RTC public affairs - based on the PIR date - we are limited to four attendees to graduation.  My husband, myself, our daughter and now we have to pick between Grandfathers - we thought we had an ace in the hole - being that they were retirees - nope - they still count as 1 against the total 4 we are allowed.

AJ my SR seems to be doing well - we finally started getting letters on Sat and then a call on Sunday. SUPER COOL!    He was nervous about the big inspection on Monday - They were being inspected for their uniform - their rack and then some question - but other then that - seems to be right on track.  It seems he is the mailman in his group!  Gotta love that!

Hey nuke mom, welcome! Yes I had same situation...me, mys husband, daughter and his friend...that's what we chose and my oldest daughter is being kind and staying home with the doggies. She's gonna visit him in A school, which he will be doing in Great Lakes also. It sure was. Ie to hear from them Sunday, huh? We live in NC but recently moved here from upstate NY...your son may get stationed there...Saratoga springs, as they have a big nuke program. It's nice there but real cold (in case you weren't aware) lol. My sons in the same ship/div as yours. I'm sure your son is their best friends as he brings them their mail! Anyway, any questions feel free to ask!

Glad you called RTC.

The reason that some of the Access List info is contradictory is because it changed short notice in October for the last PIR of that month and the three in the first part of November.

Then November 30th had a 15 Division PIR and changes were made specifically for that one.

Then the current policy is in effect for the two December PIRs and the new Policy will take effect January one.

So old info is u for the Decemver PIR's and I just made a new Forum Discussion to alert Folks for the new info.

The RTC website "Upcoming Graduations" is a good source:

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp

I believe they changed the Form Letter about the Access List. I'll have to ask on the Main Wall of this Group.

Haha too funny, I'm a control freak too and it stinks not knowing, doesn't it? We're flying in on the 9th and staying at navy lodge.
