Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 041 and 042.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

That's funny my said the same thing...they were having a hard time getting it together and they were getting "beat" I've heard that used before lol.  But he said he looks forward to chow time lol.

Does Anyone have a SR named Bradley in Div 042?
Good evening ladies how is everyone doing today. I can't believe it is so close to PIR and Christmas I haven't even put up the tree thus year. It just doesn't seem like Christmas this year without my son here. Does anyone else fill that way? Usmarg I hope you and dahlinka can work something out so u can come to PIR I live in Texas and will b flying I wish I could help you. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Bugsmom:  My son was up there this time 3 yrs ago.  Christmas was very difficult that year.  We had already made the adjustment to not having my hubby/their dad (passed away in 2001) there...and now...we were missing yet another.  My older son and I just kind of sat there and looked at each other on Christmas morning...it was very different and a bit depressing---no phone call from him that day either.  Thankfully, he has made it home for the Christmases after that!

@Bugsmom Last year my son went with his Bio father Leaving Christmas Morning to fly to Iowa to meet his Biological great grandparents for the first time. I had him home part of Christmas eve but not Christmas day. I have had him gone for periods of time thru the years because my parents helped raise him (I was a single mom for the first 5 years of his life) Then he would go to family reunions and on trips to my grandparents house in ark for the summer for 2 to 4 weeks at a time. That has made this transition easier but I still miss him. Hes not the phone call away like he was when he was on a trip with my parents or his bio dad.

Im in NM and I also have offered up my room if USMarg needs it. I would hate to see her miss it. I know i dont get on here as often as I would like thanks to work and priorities right now but the closer the day gets the more I will. Let me know if anyone needs anything .

Bugsmom and Irishgryeyes: Thank you so much for offering to help it truly means so much to me.  Irishgryeyes my son is also going to Pensacola I will definetly let you know about the room. I try and get on here but have been running around to interview but will keep in touch.  Again thank you so much it means alot.

Good Morning, just curious to know  if anyone has heard from their SR in 042 who will be attending A school in TX?? If so are they being allowed to take leave? & If so are they/do they have to report to TX first or can they take leave from PIR and fly to TX at their own expense at the end of their leave time?? My SR has not been given a straight answer yet...only maybe's and possibilities. My contacting PAO was useless either in IL or TX :(

I still have the same maybe's.  Nothing yet.  I've heard that they'll report to TX then be granted liberty if they are getting it. It's just another perhaps....  we're in the same boat, no pun intended :-)  I'm sure we'll know something soon. Hang in there.... remind yourself to BREATHE...  I'm having to remind myself often.

Thank you SkovvysMom! Good to know I'm not alone waiting & wondering!!;0

I'll try contacting PAO again about this as well. :-)

Thank you! Hopefully you will have better luck! All we get is; "info. will come from SR" :(
