Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 910.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I got my letters today! Everyone check your mailbox. Yippeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a son or husband who is 23 and has prior military experience. If so he may have the bottom bunk of my sons. Would be nice to meet you as my son tells me, he helps him out alot. Thanks.

Mine is 24 and has military experience. Did your son mention a name or anything else?

He did not mention a name. He just told me that he has top bunk but that it is okay because the sailor in bottom bunk is helping him out. God did not give my son the gift of height, so he is on the small side. He told me that they do not get much time to talk. So he does not know to many of the guys. He also said that most of the guys in his division have previous military experience and are a little bit older. He is 18 and just out of High school. I got 4 letters. The first letter telling me how hard it is and how he is not sure if he is going to make it. By the forth letter he sounds much more confident and happier. Good Luck to all! He did mention something about adopting a sailor and that he may be able to leave for Chrismas day from 6am to 10pm. Does anyone know anything about this?

Unfortunately, they're not elligable for adopt-a-sailor. I think their division is a week or two past the cutoff for it, but I could be wrong.
Got four letters today!

Vicky and Z -Soo excited for you to get letters! They must be going with real time weeks-meaning we could possibly also get calls this weekend since this is actually week 4! How did your sons sound? What jobs do they have in 910? Any details would be appreciated for those of us still hanging on out here! :)

Wah 22- I'll write Connor now and have him look out for Ryan from Ohio! Connor is 20, from Atlanta and he too wants FMF. (That's where they go out with the Marines right? Still new to all of this). He wasn't positive, but talked about FMF or Search & Rescue. We tried to convince him to go into some kind of specialty like radiology (seems much safer). METC looks like a really nice college campus (from what I have stalked) and coming from the south, I know Connor will appreciate the San Antonio winter weather.

Mine is going to corpsman school in San Antonia, as well. FMF.

To be honest, my BF (not son), said that it was boring and that the folding was driving him crazy. He has previous military/combat experience, though, so we knew going in that this would be a different experience for most. He really wrote about how much he misses me and my son. Also, as of Sunday night their mail was still being withheld, but he thought that they would finally get it soon. They won't be able to write again until this coming Sunday.

Oh YAY they just added our PIR Meet and Greet info to this site - makes it seem that much closer!!

Hi Z - What's your BF's name? Connor and Ryan can look out for him since they'll all be going to San Antonio- FMF buddies!  Also, do you mean that they weren't giving them the mail we've been sending for these past weeks? Do you know why...were they in trouble? That makes me feel terrible. Nothing in my mailbox today-but maybe it'll take a day or 2 longer to get to Atlanta!  HOPEFULLY tomorrow.....

My son is headed to Pensacola, FL for airman school.  Are there any others out there headed to FL?

I got my first letter today, but I think it was written before he actually received some of my letters.

My son is headed to Pensacola, FL as well. I quite sure he will appreciate the weather. I glad to hear that you have received a letter. I am still waiting.
