Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 910.
Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

hi my name is theresa and my husband left to bootcamp the 19 of nov.
he graduates the 18 of jan.
i hope that he can get all the letters i send him because i miss him alot.
and so does are 1year 8 moths
First letter (if you can call it that) came today! Length was...wait for it...6 lines! My son was never the most prolific, but I've never been so happy to read a note. Written on Sun 9th, mailed 10th, arrived in Atlanta 14th - that might help some of you with a timeline for your own SR. He said they just finished 1st week of training, but the way I count, it would have been the 2nd week after processing (3 actual weeks). Maybe they're behind because of the holiday? Said he'd been to Mass (can't remember the last time he woke up early enough to go), then was ironing and shoe shining ha. His last sentence said he was 'doing great'. He's a laid-back kid so 'great' is quite an exclamation! Keep your phones near because I saw that a lot of the DIV 59's were calling home yesterday!
Still waiting for any communication - letter or call. Hopefully today - our mailman comes very late in the day (Monday night he came after 8pm) so there is still a chance I may hear from him today. All of you who have gotten letters give me hope that one is on its way. Tomorrow will be the fourth Friday so we are almost to the halfway point.
Our son is going to A scholl in Groton CT - we are from PA so it will be within driving distance so hopefully that will allow us to see him once in a while even if he cant come home. Tyler is 20 and from Bucks County PA.
It is wonderful to read everyone's posts - it helps me get through the day. My mom is on home hospice with us so it keeps me very busy which helps alot in passing the time.
Thanks to everyone for sharing what you've heard from your SR - helps me to feel closer in knowing what he is doing. Have a good evening! Karen
we did too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 45-50 minutes..soooo happy to hear his voice.
I heard from my SR December 14, 2012 and got his letters the day before. It was like heaven hearing his voice. He called me twice in which I missed and he left 2 voice messages. Of course third times a charm, and we got to speak for at least 15-20 mins. Wish it could've been longer. I also received 2 more letters from him on yesterday (=. Can't wait until January 18th.
