For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Still hard
I feel like a kid counting down the days to Christmas. Being as though I will be alone for Christmas, New Years, Valentines Day and our Anniversary graduation day will be all of those all wrapped up into one day. That is what I am counting down too.

Did he just leave for bootcamp? Mine did on the 9th and it's hard but I am staying busy and positive! That's the only way I can get through my days! Hope your stating strong...

Same day. Dec. 9... Its so hard because even though I try to keep busy I finding myself thinking about my babe. I have to be honest I didn't try to keep myself busy until Tuesday. Sunday and Monday so far were the worst. I cried all day those days.

(((Hugs))) I'm sorry, I know it's hard right now. Sometimes, it does feel harder for awhile right after they go, but just keep hanging in there and taking it day by day, and eventually, it will be easier (still not easy, but better than it was in those first few days / weeks). I know right now sucks and you probably hurt more, and feel more alone than, you ever thought, but, for what it's worth, we all do understand, and we're here for you if you if you need to vent or want to cry or yell. All of that is very normal!
Also, if you want, I posted an old thread (sorry, I'm on mobile so I can't link it) that talks about the emotional spiral of deployment (that works with boot camp, too) that talks about what the Navy has found that most couples go through when deployed / separated, about how long you can expect it to last, and some tips for getting through it. Sometimes it helps to know what to expect and that you aren't alone in how you feel....

I received the from letter yesterday! Mine says he grads on feb 1st!!!! I am very excited because we didn't think he would till the 15th. I got the box and that one was hard because I could smell him ;( I cried. It is very hard to not be able to talk. That is killing me... And his parents are so jealous that every thing is coming to me. So that's really fun, not! Their son my fiancée is 27 he is a big boy! Sorry venting.... By the way I added you a few days ago so we can start emailing instead of writing on here... Stay strong and busy girl!
