While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences. Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

Hi all, just checking in, has been awhile since Ive been on here. So far Colin is doing great in Prototype, just had his 7 week written exam and got a 3.98.....yay! Starts on Crew and his shift work/watches next week! He has next weekend and MLK day off so me and his dad are taking a long weekend trip down to visit before he starts the Crazy shift rotations!

morning skype with the boy, doing good except the "boat" keeps breaking down...surprize surprize, got his hrs reduced on crew, has his 50% test this wednesday. On his 2 days off then next week works 4 days and 4 days off!

im glad you got to talk to him. my son is still waiting to start prototype. he said he is prefill now. they have him working crazy hours. i told him maybe they are getting him ready for prototype.lol.

My sons prototype hours are crazy! He's working 11:00-11:00 this week for 7 days straight.
Son also is still waiting to start prototype. Work schedule sometimes it is days, sometimes nights, and sometimes evenings Rarely is the work rewarding and full schedule. He also reports the equipment is often down. Hope he gets into the next class,I think.
