Does anyone else have a SR in Ship 2 Div 913?

Merry Christmas Everyone, I also have a son in Ship 02 DIV 913, we've gotten our form letter and box but nothing else.  Just wondering if anyone has received a phone call today?

As far as I can tell - no calls have been made today :/

Remember there are a whole lot of Recruits at the RTC (generally 6000-7000 or more) and it would be very hard to give all of them even 5 minutes at the phone banks on one day. Don't expect a call, but have your phone available and be pleasantly surprised if you do get one. Calls on holidays can come anytime between 8ish am to 8ish pm Central Time.

Hi. My son is ship 02 div 913. His graduation date is 08 Febuary 2013. I have been looking at southwest airlines. If i get a nonrefundable ticket round trip, its about 500.000. Refundable 1000.000. I read one of you checked out Virgin airlines. I should check that. Any hotel deals? I have heard the Navy Lodge and Sarge for the taxi.

If you fly Southwest, you don't have to get refundable tickets.  You do need to call 24 hours or more before your flight if you end up needing to change your flight.

Did anyone get a call yesterday? i didn't. I received his box and letter too. But not a letter from him or a phone call yet. My son left on 12 December 2012.

My hubby is in this div..and is headed off to San Antonio afterwards...I haven't heard anything besides the 10sec call, the box, and the form letter...

but I did want to let you all know that if any parents are military...or if there are any other spouses reading this...I was able to book a hotel for my in-laws and I on base for $40 a night!...they still have some openings so if you can its a great deal!

Is your SR going to be an HM or MA?

It's nice that you got rooms at the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites.  They really do have good rates for dependents and military.

For others who need the contact info:

The Navy Gateway Inns & Suites is located on the main base, about 1.5 miles from RTC. Only those with military IDs can access the base to stay there. http://dodlodging.net or 1-877-NavyBed (1-877-628-9233).

The Navy Lodge is located 1.9 miles off base from RTC and guests of graduation are allowed to stay there. https://reservations.staydod.com/hotelSearch.do?action=View&pro... or 847-689-1485.

Neither has a shuttle if you don't have a car, but they will give you the number to call for one or you can use Sarge.

Hi everyone! Anyone flying into Midway airport around 3 pm  on Thursday Febuary 7?  Want to share a taxi with Sarge? It is myself and my sons girlfriend. It is $85.00 per car cab, to your hotel.
